The summer may be over, but it’s time to get the Good Vibe Tribe back together for the Summer House Season 5 reunion! And it’s extra exciting because after five seasons, it’s the first proper reunion the gang has ever gotten from Bravo. During Season 2, they were all crammed onto chairs in the WWHL Clubhouse. (Remember how newbie Amit Neuman said all of five words during the whole day? Good times. Honestly the best thing that came out of that reunion was Kyle Cooke‘s legendary 17-page email.) And Season 4’s sit-down, in the early days of the pandemic, was virtual. Personally, I’ll never forgive the Bravo gods for not gifting us a reunion following Season 3. Mostly because we never got the pleasure of seeing Jordan Verroi in the hot seat.
So yes, after five seasons, the housemates have finally graduated to a well-deserved reunion set. And I could not be more here for it. The cascading flowers. The Hamptons-chic vibe. It’s all perfect. But before we dive into the drama, can we talk about this seating chart for a second? Because I’m confused. If the cast can sit together in twos and threes, doesn’t that…violate…the social distancing guidelines set forth by Bravo? At every other reunion in a post-COVID world, cast members have been required to stay six feet apart. In separate seats. With no touching. But I guess that rule doesn’t apply to the Summer House crew?
Good news, Good Vibe Tribe! In the immortal words of Kyle Cooke, “Summer should be fun,” and this one is finally looking up.
After the global coronavirus pandemic threw the future of Summer House into question, a new report confirms production has been given the green light for Season 5.
In the immortal words of Kyle Cooke, “Summer. Should. Be. Fun.,” and this summer definitely was. Coming off of arguably their best season yet, the cast of Summer House reunited on Wednesday night (May 6) for the Season 4 reunion hosted by Andy Cohen as part of Watch What Happens Live At Home.
Though it only lasted a single hour, the virtual reunion offered no shortage of hot-button issues following the the Housemates’ rave-themed season finale: What’s the status of Luke Gulbranson and Hannah Berner? Did Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard ever get their friendship back on track after an ill-advised attempt at dating in the first half of the season? Has Kyle‘s engagement to Amanda Batula survived the pressure of quarantining together in a tiny New York apartment? Buckle up for the answers to all those questions and more as we break down the biggest moments from the Summer House Season 4 reunion.
We made it to Labor Day weekend y’all! Somehow between the hundreds of cases of Whispering Angel, drunk fights & morning after make-ups, we’ve reached the end of Summer House. We know the proposal is happening tonight but before we get to that, Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula are setting up for their LoverBoy launch party. It’s the first time Amandas parents are seeing him since they found out about Kyle’s cheating. Of course, Kyle thinks this is the perfect time to ask her dad for his permission to marry him. Despite his best judgement, Amanda’s dad says he wants whatever makes his daughter happy. What a gem of a Dad.
The time has come to drive out east for the last time this summer. To celebrate the end of rosé season, they’re throwing an RIP Summer party. This cast will turn any occasion into a theme party. Before the funeral of summer party, the newbies aka Paige DeSorbo, Hannah Berner and Jordan Verroi hire a private chef to make the house dinner. Jordan makes a weird, vague toast. As Danielle Olivera says, we still don’t know you. I still can’t believe those two made out only a few weeks ago.
Here we are: the last weekend of the summer. That means that the Summer House cast is going to have one more themed party.
Fittingly enough, this one is the “death of summer” party, but will it be the end of Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s rocky relationship? Obviously not. Anyone with an Instagram account knows that Kyle and Amanda are engaged. However, did he have to wait to get her father’s blessing? Or did he actually want Kyle to propose after one definite cheating scandal and one alleged blacked out infidelity?
Welcome to Summer House where double standards are alive and well. According to Kyle Cooke, Paige Desorbo has been leading Carl Radke on for 2 months. If Paige has been leading Carl on then what was he doing to Lauren Wirkus for 2 summers straight? The hypocrisy is hard for me to wrap my head around. Then I remember I’m watching 35ish-year-old men act like 21 year olds. At this point, the visiting Vanderpump Rules crew seem more mature than the Summer House. Not sure who that says more about.
Before the night comes to a close, Hannah Berner and Jordan Verroi have a private chat on the patio. Hannah has hit her boiling point and I don’t blame her. For the last 2 months, Jordan has been elusive and hard to understand. She called him out for the outlandish stories and lies he continues to spew. What I love most about this house is even after a disagreement, they can put it aside and rage through the night. Paige leaves to go to Justin’s boat – I’d like a visual of this guy please and thank you.
The Vanderpump Rules crossover continues on tonight’s episode of Summer House. Stassi Schroeder, Katie Maloney, Tom Schwartz, and Beau Clark will be around again for some summertime antics.
However, it seems like they will just be innocent bystanders to the drama that is already brewing among the Summer House cast.
As a Bravo super-fan, the annual Summer House and Vanderpump Rules crossover episode is like my Super Bowl and it’s finally here! Before we see Kyle Cooke tell Stassi Schroeder she looks like Steve Jobs again (one can only hope), Kyle and Amanda Batula are tearfully discussing their future as a couple. They cry, they comfort each other and they go to sleep. I feel like we’ve seen this pattern a lot wit them. Meanwhile, the rest of the house comes back drunk except for Lindsay Hubbard who sleeps out again. Good for her. At the moment, relationships in the Summer House are all over the place!
Lindsay stubbles home, Jordan Verroi likes that girl (Erica) from the bar last week and Paige DeSorbo is talking to someone named Justin. Since Carl Radke brought a random as his date to a wedding, Paige feels free to move ahead with other guys. You go girl. Also, Paige has a full on pre-date routine, including a face mask. I continue to relate to Paige on a spiritual level. Jordan confines in Kyle about his erectile disfunction and Kyle is questioning his story. He thinks Jordan is either gay or a virgin. I never want to label someone but Jordan’s E.D is definitely stemming from a different issue.
