Love her or hate her, you cannot deny that Kenya Moore isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Personally, I really enjoy the oh so shady and slightly unbalanced Real Housewives of Atlanta star. <backs away slowly> I’ll show myself out for that admission, but before I go, I leave you with The Name Game with Kenya.
When asked what first comes to mind about NeNe Leakes, Kenya mimicked her egomaniacal RHOA co-star, “Oh, honey. NeNe Leakes, honey. When you talk about NeNe Leakes, see, I’m above all these women, see. I am part of Real Housewives of Atlanta, see, but I have evolved. I am a rich bitch. OMG, I just pulled my wig off! Bloop!”
Bye, bye, bye…BYE-BYE! Oh, wait. That's not a Britney Spears' hit, that's a song made famous by her teenage love Justin Timberlake and his former boy band 'N SYNC. Regardless of who sang the song, it seems fitting as rumors are flying about Brit-Brit's comeback ending before it's time. Sigh.
After multiple weddings, head shaving, umbrella attacks, and conservatorships, an iconic Britney seemed to (sadly) crumble under incredible personal and professional pressures right before our very eyes, only to be revived by Simon Cowell as a judge on The X Factor. While she still seemed extremely fragile, I think everyone was rooting for her. Sadly, it seems that Britney didn't rise to her new calling. Sources are now saying that the former international pop star is on the chopping block. You know what? Maybe that's a good thing. She's talented, she's got precious children, and she's richer than all of us put together…perhaps she needs to take some time for herself to decompress and while getting away from the public eye. There is no shame in that, Britney!
So the big question is, who will round out the judges’ panel? While rumors run rampant, I can say that there will likely be two seats filled. Why, you ask? It appears that longtime Idol fixture and judge Randy Jackson will be transitioning into a mentor role. He certainly has the credentials, and the contestants would surely benefit from his knowledge.
For someone who is highly popular and well known for her personal life, not much has been revealed about Kim Kardashian’s first marriage, that is until now.
Star magazine was able to uncover the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star’s divorce documents, which shockingly details abuse at the hands of her former husband and music producer, Damon Thomas.
Kim eloped with Damon back in January 2000, much to her parents dismay. Kim was 19 at the time, and Damon was 29. According to Kim’s statements in the divorce papers, the abuse began shortly after the couple got married. “Damon first hit me a few months after we were married,” she says in the statement, before going on to describe several instances of alleged abuse in detail.
“One incident occurred on the day that Damon and I were going skydiving with Justin Timberlake,” Kim says. “Before we left home, Damon hit me in the face and cut my lip open. I fell into the bed frame and banged my knee hard.” Another incident involved Damon learning Kim had paged someone,” which then led to another violent episode. “He became enraged and punched me in the face. My face was bruised and swollen as a result.”
In the documents, Kim also acknowledges never calling the cops. “I thought about calling the police but was afraid and decided not to do so.”
According to Kim, the abuse was not just physical, but also psychological. Kim claims she was forced to quit her job and stay at home because Damon “wanted to know where I was at all times.” “He often arrived home at 4:30AM and expected me to prepare a meal for him at that hour,” she says. He would also demand that she “ask permission” to go to the store or out to dinner with friends. Damon also gave her thousands of dollars and told her to get liposuction.
Damon filed for divorce in 2003 after three years of marriage. The divorce was made official in 2004 and he was ordered to pay Kim $56,000.
Damon has since come out denying the abuse claims.
