Last night we were treated to the first half of a tw0-part Southern Charm which answered A LOT of questions I never wanted nor needed to know. At all.
The charmers are getting ready for their day, and Patricia Altschul is concerned that her hairstylist is somewhat distracted. It seems Madison LeCroy has given Ms. Pat an unfortunate Kathryn Dennis-esque type poof. Whatever could be her issue? Only Austen Kroll knows for sure! Chelsea Meissner is the only one working, and some dude drops off a surfboard for Shep Rose prior to the aging frat boy’s haircut appointment.
Craig Conover’s penchant for laziness and lounging hungover in hoodies must be contagious because Austen has been afflicted. Over burritos and beer, Austen laments about the downfall of his relationship with Madison. He’s embarrassed to admit to his friends that he still in love with a girl who tried to slide into his friend’s boyfriend’s DMs. She seems so sweet and innocent given the fact that she’s only had three boyfriends in her lifetime. Craig teases that she probably had so few relationships because the rest of the guys never responded to her on Instagram. Craig has jokes!
Kathryn Dennis is coming off of a major comeback season. However, it seems like she reverts to her old ways during tonight’s Southern Charm episode. Once again, she just disappears without saying a word to anybody. And of course, once again, everyone in the Southern Charm cast is concerned about her.
However, they’re not just going to be relieved when she reappears. This time, Naomie Olindo and Danni Baird intend to hold her accountable for her antics. Will she willingly learn a lesson? Or will she end up fighting with her friends? Probably the latter.
After last week’s episode of Southern Charm confirmed the dastardly deed between Kathryn Dennis and Whitney Sudler-Smith, last night’s show focused on the perils of a new couple, Austen Kroll and his Instagalpal Madison LeCroy. I’m not counting out these two…if they can survive a threesome and retaliatory cheating, what’s a little DM action going to hurt?
Naomie Olindo is hard at work at her online apparel business, but she makes some time to Facetime with her adorable parents who are traipsing through Europe. In addition to her new endeavor, she is also helping her family run their Greek restaurant Nico. Speaking of precious parents, Chelsea Meissner’s dad drops off Tyson after dog-sitting him for Chelsea’s house-warming party. They discuss Chelsea’s sailor beau Nick who has a three-year contract in Rhode Island with the America’s Cup. She seems to have a type…and it’s someone who lives far, far away. She likes her space! Her dad wonders how the relationship will work for so long with such distance, but he adores Nick. He’s a man, and Austen’s more of a house cat.
Whether Kathryn Dennis is your current fan favorite or old definition of messy, you have to admit she’s changed her tune. Since her first appearance on Southern Charm, Kathryn has been through the wringer. After having two children with former love, Thomas Ravenel, she has seen the inside of rehab facilities and courtrooms.
Kathryn and Thomas are presently involved in a bitter custody battle regarding their kids, Kensie and Saint. They have made attempts at co-parenting in the past, but it never seemed to stick, much like their relationship. Amidst Thomas’ sexual assault allegations and uncouth girlfriends (#hiashley), the pair recently appeared to call a truce to celebrate their daughter’s pre-school graduation. But obviously, it hasn’t been all unicorns and rainbows. Details have emerged revealing more of their dark relationship, and what might have lead to Kathryn’s downfall.
Southern Charm is back tonight with a new episode. Those Kathryn Dennis and Whitney Sudler-Smith hookups are so last summer since she reveals a new boyfriend on tonight’s episode. No, it’s not country singer Hunter Price, her current boyfriend.
Instead, it’s a senator. Yes, apparently she has a type, but at least this one is not significantly older than her…with a criminal record. Or is this guy truly falling in line with her previous dating history? Naomie Olindo is just shocked that Kathryn is dating a Democrat.
Even though Thomas Ravenel is no longer a cast member on Southern Charm, he is still a major topic of conversation. This makes sense since he is embroiled in many legal issues right now. From his custody issues with Kathryn Dennis to the sexual assault allegations against him, Thomas is involved in a lot of drama these days.
However, the two exes managed to come together, with smiles on their faces at that, for the sake of their daughter Kensie.
New Southern Charm cast member Eliza Limehouse did not make the best first impression during the Season 6 premiere episode. For some reason, she thought it was a good idea to remind everyone that she’s so close with Thomas Ravenel and Ashley Jacobs, who aren’t even on the show anymore.
And then she had some word vomit toward Kathryn Dennis, who eloquently told Eliza that her coattails are worn out at the end of the episode. We barely saw any Eliza during Episode 2, minus the pedicure scene with Cameran Eubanks. However, a lot of the viewers didn’t seem to mind. She doesn’t have a ton of fans at this point, but Cameran and Naomie Olindo have come to her defense.
We are a few weeks into Season 6 of Southern Charm and it has been great catching up with the gang. Other than this year’s departure of Thomas Ravenel amid a swirl of legal woes, everyone is back for more drinks, dish, and drama. And quirky Eliza Limehouse has been, shall we say, an interesting addition to the show! The season has started out low key, which is fine with me. Probably the most interesting revelation so far has been that Craig Conover has cleaned up his messy house. Which is kind of a miracle!
Matriarch Patricia Altschul was center stage of the first episode, throwing one of her formal dinner parties for people who aren’t always on their best formal behavior. It is difficult to imagine the show without Patricia as she adds class–and spot on commentary–to the series. Patricia, however, recently revealed that she was never meant to be such an integral part of Southern Charm.
