The Real Housewives of Orange County are finally filming Season 16 and rumor has it the drama has already started. Kelly Dodd and Branwyn Windham-Burke are OUT and Heather Dubrow is coming back to save the sinking ship of a show. Even Tamra Judge is hinting at a surprise appearance, bringing it back to the good old days.

And if Fancy Pants and Tammy Sue make an RHOC return, Shannon Beador is DEFINITELY not going to be happy. Shannon and Heather have a lot of history — Shannon’s probably still not over HD banishing her from her home. Or the rumors that the Dubrows were trying to “take the Beadors down,” whatever that was all about. And according to Vicki Gunvalson, Shannon discards her friends like a bowl of rotten lemons once they leave the show. And because of that, her once-close friendship with Tamra has turned super sour.

But, let’s not get too ahead of things here. The premise of Housewives may revolve around women of means, but it’s littered with women bordering on financial ruin. Take for instance, Noella Bergener, a former friend of Braunwyn and reported season 16 cast member. She’s apparently comin’ in hot with major debt.

I still can’t believe that Heather Dubrow will be back for Season 16 of Real Housewives of Orange County. My biggest Bravo wish came true! I can’t wait to see “Fancy Pants” and her $21 million dollar mansion. I’ll bet it has a champagne fountain.

Of course, three RHOC stars were let go from the franchise. Braunwyn Windham-Burke was handed her walking papers after two tumultuous seasons. Elizabeth Lyn Vargas was also fired. Kelly Dodd’s ouster wasn’t really a shock.

Everyone who watched last season of the Real Housewives of Orange County knew it was the disappointment of all disappointments. We lost OGs Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson, and it was glaringly obvious the show couldn’t go on without them. Kelly Dodd and Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s outrageous antics only alienated fans more. And Shannon Beador showed she’s not the best leader, or friend, for that matter.

So RHOC had to do a huge shake-up before Season 16. And that included bringing back Heather Dubrow (Hallejuah). Braunwyn and Kelly both got the boot, to no surprise, and have not been handling the news well at all. And Elizabeth Lyn Vargas was taken down with them after just one season.

But Elizabeth’s cut wasn’t a total shocker. She spent most of the season being vague and acting a little bizarre. And even though she told the women not to ask about it, she brought up her divorce at every turn. Her biggest moment was when she unveiled a truth about her childhood, which included growing up in a religious cult, but that was about it. But unlike her fellow fired co-stars, Elizabeth is actually being diplomatic about her exit. Kelly and Boringwyn could learn a thing or two.

Lala Kent has been a firecracker since she first stepped off her PJ and onto the scene of Vanderpump Rules. She’s always been a little eccentric — whether it’s showing a little (or a lot) of skin or drinking a literal baby bottle in her bed at night. Lala had a rough start at the beginning of VPR, with her other ousted co-star James Kennedy the only one on her side. But now they’re both sober, engaged and wayyyy more palatable to watch as people when they’re not fat-shaming anyone or being the textbook definition of a hot mess. And I’m actually excited to watch them both in the new, and maybe improved, VPR. My how the tables have turned.

Lala is also a bonafide Bravo lover just like the rest of us. She loves to binge Real Housewives and share her opinions online, despite being a Bravolebrity herself. And while she’s always ride or die for her boss/friend Lisa Vanderpump, she’s not afraid to give her unfiltered opinions about other Bravolebrities who aren’t her favorite. Namely, the always controversial Kelly Dodd. Excuse me, FORMER Bravolebrity in this case.

There’s no doubt that Vicki Gunvalson has always been an unusual character since the dawn of the Real Housewives of Orange County. Her life revolves around selling insurance, embarrassing her kids, and drinking martinis with blue cheese olives, in that order. It is literally her onus to be a pot-stirrer that cannot help but spread rumors. And she doesn’t care who it affects —  whether it’s her BFF Tamra Judge or her fellow fired frenemy Kelly Dodd. Even if she put her foot in her mouth, the gossip would find a way to escape her.

While Vicki has definitely made questionable decisions throughout her time on RHOC, she’s the OG of the OC. Well, before she left after being demoted in Season 14 and having a major meltdown aimed at Bravo producers. And she’s just so goofy. She’s prone to screaming and being clumsy as hell. She’s always been desperate to keep her love tank full, even if she prioritized work over everything else. Vicki is a legend in her own right, despite her ungraceful downfall.

Fans Slam Stephanie Hollman For Spitting Alcohol From Her Mouth Into Other People’s Mouths In The Midst Of A Pandemic

If you watch Real Housewives with the expectation of viewing women with money AND decorum, skip the group from Dallas.  Unless you consider Kameron Westcott’s artificial social graces.  They are present as facade management, but when questioned or challenged, not quite as polished.  The intelligent and accomplished Tiffany Moon definitely brought it during her time on the show, but its not clear whether she is returning to Real Housewives of Dallas Season Six.

So we are left with the likes of Stephanie Hollman and bestie Brandi Redmond.  Their antics are any mix of vulgar, sloppy, and immature.  It was entertaining for a season or two, but living in multi-million dollar homes while engaging in sorority style antics gets old after a while.  Like, give us something new girls.
