Kenya Moore’s return to Real Housewives of Atlanta has been surrounded by drama. Kenya was allegedly let go after Season 10 for refusing to film with her husband. Now she has twirled back for Season 12, and I am here for it!
On November 4, 2018 Kenya and her husband Marc Daly welcomed their daughter, Brooklyn Daly. But in September, Kenya announced that she and her camera-shy husband were divorcing after two years of marriage.
It’s great to have Kenya Moore back on Real Housewives of Atlanta. We really needed her last season. Or at least that’s how I felt. NeNe Leakes, on the other hand, did not feel the same way. She was livid when Kenya showed up to Cynthia Bailey’s party during the Season 11 finale. NeNe and Cynthia even ended their friendship over that “betrayal.”
When it was announced that Kenya would return to RHOA, many fans eagerly anticipated some heated exchanges between the Housewives. Instead, we got some flashback clips and no new NeNe footage. NeNe has been absent from the first two episodes, but she will come face to face with Cynthia this week at the Pride parade. Eva Marcille, Marlo Hampton, and Cynthia’s daughter Noelle Robinson will be there too, but the marquee event is NeNe and Cynthia’s first encounter in months. With that said, I have to assume that there will be a lot of build up, followed by a cliffhanger at the end, to keep us on the edge of our seats until next week. I hope I’m wrong, but that’s just how I see this going based on my many years of Real Housewives viewership.
The drama report is calling for plenty of shade on Real Housewives of Atlanta, and I am here for it. Kenya Moore is back for Season 12 and already stirring things up on the show. And so is Cynthia Bailey, who is trying to be friends with both Kenya and Eva Marcille. Good luck with that, Cynthia!
Kenya’s Barbie-themed party to introduce baby Brooklyn was the starting point of a rift between new mommy Porsha Williams, and expectant mommy (at that time) Eva. Cynthia had my favorite costume—thirsty bridal Barbie. Eva attended as
least amount of effort for costume work-out Barbie but left her kids at home. Porsha later told Kenya that Eva didn’t bring her kids because Eva didn’t trust Kenya around her children.
Kenya Moore’s return last week on The Real Housewives of Atlanta was incredible. She never should have left and now she’s back and holding her rightful peach. The first episode was very BABY heavy, but the drama is coming. Seeing Porsha Williams and Kenya finally become friends is the greatest thing to ever happen to Atlanta. IT’S ABOUT TIME.
One thing that was crazy during the premiere was the absence of Nene Leakes. We now know the reason why, but it was still weird not seeing her. Nene’s feud with Kenya is a big selling point of this season, so hopefully, we see some of that soon. The first tension of the season is already brewing between Kenya and model Eva Marcille. Was it weird that Eva didn’t want her baby around Kenya? KINDA, but that’s classic Atlanta shade.
Should we all just give this a “Sure, Jan” now and call it a day? Of course not! Real Housewives of Atlanta grand dame, NeNe Leakes is
once again addressing her absence from the first two shows of the new season. There has been much speculation about why such an important part of the series was missing at a particularly crucial time.
The rumor mill had a lot to work with. After NeNe’s short temper and hateful moments were dismissed as a result of depression, nothing could really excuse her reasoning behind getting physical with production. People have been dismissed from Bravo for less, yet NeNe still retained her peach. When filming began for the new shows, NeNe was a no show. Viewers
hoped wondered if she was facing punishment for getting handsy with the camera guy. Or maybe NeNe’s co-stars didn’t feel like being yelled at for the duration of their scenes with the star. Now NeNe tells us what really happened, and sets the record straight once and for all. Sure, Jan!
Did you know the act of intentionally spitting on someone is considered assault? Yes, my friends, hocking your saliva at another human is classified as battery under the common assault category of the Criminal Justice Act 1988. The more you know! The real question is, do you think NeNe Leakes is aware of this little factoid? The Real Housewives of Atlanta star has yet to be formally denounced for her less than appealing personality. NeNe did not film the first two episodes of the new season, but if you ask her, it was due to contract negotiations and definitely not because she was #suspendedbybravo.
The return of new mom Kenya Moore has really lit a fire under NeNe. After Kenya mercilessly stole NeNe’s buddy, Cynthia Bailey, away in a sea of carbonated alcoholic beverages, NeNe has a score to settle. Viewers are familiar with NeNe’s hot temper, and so is Bravo production. If NeNe’s camera crew followed her around dressed in full combat gear, it’s probably because she roughed someone up for trying to film in her closet. Fans are also keen to NeNe’s moody disposition. In one instance, NeNe got into a heated confrontation with a woman in an airport. In a separate airport incident, NeNe allegedly swiped a viewer’s phone to the ground. Recently the streets have been saying NeNe let her spirit and her spit fly, this time directed at Kenya. Now Kenya confirms the scoop and what this means for their relationship going forward.
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey’s life is going great right now. Her man, sportscaster Mike Hill, put a ring on it on July 26. Of course, Bravo cameras were there to capture every moment. Cynthia even credits her youthful glow to lots of sex with her fiancé. You go, Cynthia!
Cynthia’s former best friend NeNe Leakes predicted that this engagement would happen, but only because Cynthia needs a RHOA storyline. How shady! NeNe torched the duo’s friendship when Cynthia invited Kenya Moore, their former co-star, to Cynthia’s product launch. Cynthia failed to obtain NeNe’s approval of the guest list and told NeNe that she didn’t know that Kenya was coming.
