After a tough start during her first season Kelly Dodd has truly turned things around on Real Housewives of Orange County. She’s giving us the meme and gif-worthy arguments that we live for, but she’s not holding any long grudges. She has struck the perfect Housewife balance and she’s honestly the only one in this cast who has.
Everyone else refuses to interact with each other which makes it feel like I’m watching seven different TV shows spread out over an hour every Monday night. This was supposed to be the lead-in show for Dallas and the Texas women are blowing the OC out of the water this year. Thankfully they’re saving Monday night for the Housewives viewers. But anyway, this season is horrible aside from Kelly’s contributions. Kelly is the only one who is socializing with every other cast member, she brings it with her own personal story lines, and her quotes. I never in a million years thought I would say this, but Kelly is the only reason this season is worth watching. I hope they turn things around, but they’ve spent every episode so far ignoring each other and talking about things that happened two seasons ago. Move on or get off the show.
Kelly Dodd recently announced that she’s divorcing Michael Dodd (again), and after recently selling their beach-front mansion for $6 million (!), Kelly has decided to look in a “more suburban” area that’s better for her 10-year-old daughter, Jolie.
Well, I guess that means Kelly is also leaving Shannon Beador, as the Real Housewives Of Orange County frenemies are also neighbors in Quiet Womanhood.
The curse of marriage and reality TV strikes again! Kelly Dodd announced today that she is divorcing husband Michael Dodd (again) after 11 years of marriage.
“Our marriage is over, I’m out of there!” a gleeful Kelly confirmed in a statement. “It’s best if we went our separate ways and concentrate on our daughter.”
Who would have ever thought that Kelly Dodd would be getting along with all of her Real Housewives of Orange County co-stars except for Meghan Edmonds? Not only was last year a controversial first season for Kelly, but Meghan was the “friend” who brought her into the cast.
At this point the two of them are constantly coming at each other and scrutinizing every word that comes out of the other person’s mouth.
This story line with Meghan Edmonds and Kelly Dodd arguing over a text message conversation that happened months before this Real Housewives of Orange County season started filming is dragging out for way too long. Unfortunately, there really isn’t much else happening at this point. Fortunately, the preview for the rest of the season looks pretty promising.
The fans have to wait and see how the rest of the episodes play out. While everyone is really waiting for Vicki Gunvalson to go at it with Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador, we are stuck with this random argument with Meghan and Kelly.
Even though Kelly Dodd joined Real Housewives of Orange County as a friend of Meghan Edmonds, that friendship seems to be on the rocks these days. Meghan asked Kelly if she had a boyfriend on the side and Kelly fired back by saying that Meghan’s husband Jim Edmonds is having an affair.
Other than that, not much has happened between these two, but it’s clear shit is about to go down since they are constantly ripping on each other on social media and in interviews.
Thanks to Peggy Sulahian, Kelly Dodd and Shannon Beador had a night off from making the most offensive moves during the last episode of Real Housewives of Orange County. Peggy actually had the nerve to pinch Meghan Edmonds’ lips shut while she was talking and even though Kelly wasn’t there for that moment, she watched the episode and was very amused by it.
Not only did Kelly find the lip pinching to be entertaining television, but she also has a lot of serious shade to throw at Meghan and her husband Jim Edmonds.
Even though Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson haven’t appeared on screen together at all this season, they sure are talking about each other a lot. If you were playing a drinking game with a rule to drink every single time they mention each other’s name, you would be wasted pretty quickly.
During the last episode of Real Housewives of Orange County, Tamra talked about something very important: her life as an “erased parent” in a speech at a gala for other parents going through something similar.
