Last night was the season premiere of Vanderpump Rules. SIX LONG SEASONS I will have been recapping this show, and six long seasons I will have loved every minute of it. Well, OK, not every minute, but a lot of minutes. Last night did not disappoint on this rollercoaster to hell and back. Complete with costumes! But still can the writers over there get a new story besides cheating?!
At SUR, Tom Sandoval is still slinging drinks while dreaming of a less sloppy future. A Tomtastic future with sexy TVs and pot-tinis. Yes, you heard that right: pot-tinis, as in marijuana-laced mixed drinks. That sounds like a YouTube horror story about what teens are getting into to these days.
Lisa Vanderpump is moving forward with Tom-Tom, a restaurant centered around the Toms, and for the low introductory price of $100,000 dollars, paid in installments of $9.99 per month (for life) – taxes and fees apply – the real life Toms can become 10% partners in this glorious venture. One might think old (I used that word intentionally) Tom 1 would be grateful. Instead he is besieged with angst!
These days a relationship isn’t real until it is Instagram official. Well, now it’s officially official that Scheana Marie’s ex-husband Mike Shay has moved on, thanks to his PDA-filled Instagram post with his new lady.
For the past few years, Shay has been a pretty private person (well, as private as anyone can be while being on a reality TV show), so it’s pretty surprising that he even shared this makeout-filled post. Then again, his ex was sharing a lot of photos from her post-marriage relationship, so he might have just wanted to
stir shit up get in on the action.
During Season 5 of Vanderpump Rules, Scheana Marie showed up to most cast events alone. Every time someone asked where her husband Mike Shay was she would just say something about him “being in the studio” late at night. I have no idea where any of the music was from those supposed studio sessions, but it is pretty clear that Scheana was just trying to make the best out of a bad situation by offering up a work-related excuse.
After ditching every major event of the season, Shay randomly showed up at the reunion to “share his side of the story” in one of the most awkward reunion interactions in the history of Bravo. You would think that Shay’s reluctance to truly participate in the show last season and the fact that Scheana is dating Robert Valletta now, would add up to Shay sitting out Season 6, but that might not be the case.
The Vanderpump Rules spin off series with Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright has been tough on their relationship. With a show that’s centered around the couple, it’s inevitable that every single argument and offhand comment is going to make it into the episodes. Plus, they don’t have the 343 Vanderpump Rules cast members to hide behind.
Not only that, but there’s just no way that Jax insisting that Brittany has “lost her spark” so many times is not going to be featured. Jax had to answer a lot of tough questions from Andy Cohen when he appeared on Watch What Happens Live. Well, they weren’t exactly challenging questions to answer, but Andy definitely didn’t go easy on Jax.
Trouble in SURidise? Not for Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz. They’re no Scheana Marie and Shay ready for divorce months after tying the knot on Vanderpump Rules. The never-before-happy couple now claims marriage has changed all that.
The cast recently attended a celebration for jewelry designer Kyle Chan where everyone reveled in romantic happiness. Who are these people??? What doppelgangers invaded SUR? Lisa Vanderpump…. are you out there?! Step away from the dogs for a second to save these people!
When Scheana Marie and Mike Shay’s separation was announced right before the last Vanderpump Rules premiere, I couldn’t help watching every episode with a bit of analysis. Whether Shay was in a scene or not, I couldn’t help reading into every single thing with the current knowledge that they were going through a divorce.
Weirdly enough, Jax Taylor was right when he said that he had “milk with a longer shelf life than that marriage.” Most viewers felt bad for Scheana after learning that Shay just left and drained all of their money, but there’s also a good amount of fans that felt like Scheana was putting up a front about how good the marriage actually was. Scheana explained why she lied about her relationship and Shay’s philandering and how she even planned out their “story line” before the show actually started.

The reality star formerly known as Scheana Marie Shay, now just Scheana Marie, was a guest co-host on The Tomorrow Show with Keven Undergaro this week. The Vanderpump Rules star spilled the tea on forking out $50,000 to ex-husband Mike Shay, on her new boyfriend, Robert Valletta, meeting Lisa Vanderpump, the possibility of getting remarried, her friendship with Lala Kent and so much more!
While some Bravo divorces take eons, Scheana Marie‘s split from Mike Shay did not. I guess a cropped wedding gown = a cropped marriage and more cropped divorce, right?!
The Vanderpump Rules star filed for divorce in November, less than 3 years after getting married on the show. From the get-go their relationship was plagued by difficulties after Shay admitted to substance abuse problems and Scheana tried to fix it by making him drink tequila from a tampon and only party to get buzzed.
