Real Housewives of New Jersey fans learned the sad news that Giacinto Gorga, the father of Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga, passed away on April 3. It was clear that Giacinto, known as “Nonno,” had struggled with health issues recently. Both Melissa Gorga, and Teresa had asked fans to pray for the beloved patriarch of the Gorga family.
Nonno was a part of RHONJ from the very beginning. Nonno loved being in the kitchen. He could boil an octopus like nobody’s business, and I loved seeing him cook with his granddaughters. Ever since the death of Nonno’s wife, Antonia, Nonno had been living with Teresa and her four daughters. He was a huge part of their lives, and a support during Joe Giudice’s incarceration and deportation woes.
Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga’s father has become such a lovable character on Real Housewives of New Jersey. Giacinto Gorga, better known as “Nonno,” has been living with Teresa and her four daughters ever since his wife passed away.
We have seen him at family events, giving Teresa advice, and even giving us some comic relief at times.
“Gia Catania” has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? Obviously, I’m getting way ahead of myself on this one since Gia Giudice and Frankie Catania aren’t even dating, but a Real Housewives of New Jersey fan can dream, can’t I?
On tonight’s Real Housewives of New Jersey episode, Dolores Catania’s son Frankie takes Teresa Giudice’s daughter Gia to prom and I cannot even convey how happy this makes me, as a complete stranger who is just overly invested in the Giudice family. Frank Catania, Joe Gorga, Melissa Gorga, Milania Giudice, and Nonno are all on hand for support (and to take a million photos) before Gia and Frankie head to the dance.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey came back with a BANG last week. What a premiere episode. The ladies of the Garden State wasted little time jumping into drama. There are many rumors about Teresa Giudice, but she’s brushing them off. However, her peace with Melissa Gorga may be coming to an end. Teresa is NOT happy about Melissa’s friend Jackie Goldschneider.
Speaking of Jackie, she too finds herself in the middle of drama. She’s already feuding with Jennifer Aydin over an Instagram video allegedly mocking her. Will any of these women ever get along? This episode will also feature the return of Danielle Staub which means a possible showdown with Margaret Josephs. It’ll also be interesting to see where Dolores Catania’s allegiance lies this season.
As we all know the cameras were rolling when Teresa Giudice went to Italy with her four daughters to visit estranged husband Joe Giudice. None of that footage has surfaced yet and there’s no word on when it will air. It would be kind of awkward to show this before Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 10 concludes. But at the same time, the anticipation is high to see Joe and Teresa’s in-person dynamic.
While we wait on the video footage, there are plenty of photos to click through. Now that Joe has joined social media, he was really on his game during the visit. Teresa, on the other hand, dialed down her social media presence, which isn’t a great sign for anyone pulling through for them to resurrect their
During Joe Giudice‘s stint in prison for fraud, we did not hear much about him. Sure, wife Teresa Giudice talked about Joe once in a while on the Real Housewives of New Jersey or in the media, but his time in prison was mostly low-key. As it is meant to be! However, since Joe’s release from prison in March, we have been given frequent updates on the status of his ongoing deportation case. Joe’s decision to not become a U.S. citizen backfired, resulting in deportation proceedings commencing against him.
In April, Joe’s appeal to ICE to stay in the country was denied, meaning he would be deported. Later that month, he achieved a legal victory when the courts agreed to look at his case again. In May, Joe was given approval to remain in the U.S. while waiting for a decision regarding his deportation. The legal wrangling continued on over the summer, until Joe finally requested to be allowed to return to Italy to await the decision on his case. Now, there is an update in the ongoing legal saga.
If only Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Joe Giudice had worked half as hard making an honest living as he has with trying to stay in the U.S., he wouldn’t even be in this predicament.
Ever since he was found guilty of fraud back in 2014, Joe has been faced with the possibility of being deported to Italy. And it appears as though Joe’s time in the U.S. is limited.
It’s unclear what sort of internet access Joe Giudice had while he was in prison, but there’s no doubt that his family members have been following along with the news stories while he’s been locked up. His wife Teresa Giudice has been photographed holding hands with Blake Schreck, a man in his twenties.
She also said on the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion that she would divorce Joe if he gets deported. Not only that, but her own social media posts aren’t doing the RHONJ star any favors. Of course, she doesn’t post photos of every single thing that she does, but sure seems to be out on the town a lot these days.
