On last night’s Little Women: NY, the group circles the wagons around Lila Call, whose recent drinking relapse gives them all a wake-up call. We begin at a restaurant with Dawn Lang & Jazmin Lang, who have tension brewing since their disagreement about Jazmin’s performance in Jordanna James recent burlesque show. But they’re not here to fight. They’re here because Christy McGinty (of Little Women: L.A.) reached out to Dawn about Lila. Christy, a recovering alcoholic, walks into the restaurant to tell Dawn & Jazmin that Lila’s been sending her weird texts at all hours of the day this past week, telling her she’s been drinking wine, and has basically fallen off the wagon. Lila was sober for about a year up to this point, having been to rehab in the past and a participant in AA since then.

Christy asks the girls if Lila’s been drinking. Jazmin evades the question, not wanting to “throw Lila under the bus.” “Have you guys gone out drinking with her?” Christy flat out asks them, and Dawn finally says yes. She says Jazmin has been drinking with Lila too, although Jazmin has been basically struck mute in the corner of the booth. The ladies then confess that they’ve seen Lila drinking, but don’t think she’s out of control. Christy reminds them that some alcoholic’s “rock bottom” is death. Jazmin finally sits up and listens, and all three ladies agree that they need to confront Lila in an intervention. Christy reminds them that this is all out of love, not anger.

It’s only the third episode of Little Women: NY and the brawls, they are a’brewin’. Last night, Jordanna James rounds up a few of the ladies (and Jason Perez, because…why not?) to join her in a burlesque show she’s producing, Lila Call gets back into the dating scene, and Jazmin Lang confronts her fears (mainly in the form of sister-in-law Dawn Lang) about becoming a little person performer. Misty Irwin also sacrificially offers up her boyfriend, Joe, on the altar of parental approval.

We open up at lunch with Jordanna asking Kristin Zettlemoyer, Jason and Jazmin to perform in a burlesque show she’s putting on a week from now. She cold opens with the very serious question, “Can you twerk?” Her burlesque group, called Sass n’ Betties, is a group of bada$$ women, says Jordanna, who don’t tailor their choreography to work specifically with little people. So she expects the girls – and Jason – to step up. Jordanna also reminds us repeatedly that she’s a Broadway performer (little NeNe?) so she’s got expectations, yo! Jazmin is concerned with transitioning from business school to performer, and she’s already got the heat on her from sister-in-law Dawn who thinks little people performers drag the entire world of little people back into the dark ages. Besides being cast as an elf, Dawn doesn’t see much of a future in it. Dawn’s brother – Jazmin’s husband – is supportive of her performing dreams, though. So Jazmin agrees to debut her, uh, talents in Jordanna’s show. The group raises their glasses to Jazmin’s new adventure.

Last night on Little Women: NY,   Jason Perez seeks out help from his friends to talk to his parents about moving out. It does not go well. Jordanna James confronts Lila Call about flirting with her boyfriend last episode. And Dawn Lang rocks the boat with Misty Irwin and Kristin Zettlemoyer when she rags on their new apartment.

Lila comes to visit Kristin at home to apologize for telling Elena Gant (from Little Women: L.A.) about Kristin’s divorce. Elena’s rude behavior (whether scripted or not) drove a wedge between Lila – who gave Elena her intel – and almost every other woman at dinner last episode. Bearing flowers, Lila asks Kristin how she’s feeling. Kristin thinks Lila can’t just show up at her door and conveniently be BFFs again. Lila defends Elena’s behavior, saying she didn’t know Elena was a “loose cannon.” Neither did we. Which was why the entire debacle was just plain weird. Kristin reluctantly accepts Lila’s apology because she knows she’s fragile and trying to stay sober. Kristin invites Lila to her and Misty’s housewarming party later.

Well, it’s time for the new franchise of Lifetime’s Little Women series to make its debut! Little Women: New York premiered last night just after part one of the Little Women: L.A. reunion ended. And crossover “stars” from both cities appeared everywhere. Lila Call, a LWNY cast member, joined the LWLA ladies at their reunion to rehash her extreme antics with the ladies in LA last season. Then Elena Gant showed up on the LWNY premiere to sh*t stir like her name was Christy McGinty. Jeez, Elena! I thought she “had a dream!” that little people everywhere would one day live in peace? This dream is not happening in New York – or LA – with these groups of women.

We begin in NY with an introduction to the 6 little women and 1 little man who make up the cast. Lila Call (the ringleader), Misty Irwin (the party girl), Dawn Lang (paralegal career girl), Jason Perez (poly-sci student and – er – a guy!), Jazmin Lang (sister in law to Dawn & performer), Jordanna James (Broadway & burlesque performer), and Kristin Zettlemoyer (performer). Gotta say, I’m loving the opening video montage and soundtrack! Waaaaaaay better than LWLA!

Based on the growing popularity of Little Women: LA, Lifetime has announced the next iteration of the franchise: Little Women: NY

We’ve already met one Little Women: New York cast member, Lila Call, on recent episodes of Little Women: LA.   And she was a divisive presence among the LA group, to put it mildly. Lila used to date Terra Jole’s current baby-daddy, Joe Gnoffo, and Terra is convinced that Lila wants him back (prize that he is…blech).
