She is in a happy relationship with Paul Bernon, who is very private and probably doesn’t want to add appearing on a reality show to his resume. There is some hope for the future, since Bethenny left the show before and then later triumphantly returned.
Is Bethenny Frankel engaged to Paul Bernon? That’s what some of her Instagram followers think. And by “some,” I mean “a lot” of her Instagram followers. A few days ago she posted a photo with her daughter Bryn Hoppy, with Bryn’s face covered, of course. Side note, I wouldn’t be able to recognize Bryn if my life depended on it. Props to Bethenny for giving her daughter some semblance of a private life.
Anyway, Bethenny has her hands in Bryn’s hair and it’s such a sweet moment, but there’s one, super shiny, distracting element: a diamond ring. Is it the old ring from when she was “engaged” to Dennis Shields? That whole engaged/not engaged/dating/not dating
narrative for her convenience situation still confuses me. I would love to see a clear timeline of Bethenny’s relationships with Paul and Dennis. But, seriously though, is she engaged? Her followers think so.
When Bethenny Frankel announced on August 21 that she was leaving Real Housewives of New York, everyone was stunned. Viewers were stunned. Her RHONY co-stars were stunned. It was the departure that no one expected.
Bethenny’s new man, Paul Bernon, is very private and doesn’t want to be on camera, so that could be one reason for Bethenny’s departure. There were also rumblings that Bravo executives were angry for months that Bethenny had plans to produce unscripted shows for television with Mark Burnett.
Remember when it was all “about Tom?” I kind of miss that. Because these days, it’s all about Bethenny Frankel. First, to the shock of fans and, apparently, cast mates, she announced her departure from the Real Housewives of New York.
Then, she broke Twitter with her announcement that she “is the only one that is actually married,” causing endless speculation that she secretly married her current boyfriend, Paul Bernon. She also tagged all of her castmates in her announcement. Reminder: all of her castmates are single and desperate not to be single. Well, all except Dorinda Medly, She wouldn’t marry boyfriend John Mahdessian and for all the free dry cleaning and Christmas décor in the world.
Bethenny Frankel is just all about the surprise announcements this week. First, she quits Real Housewives of New York mere hours before Season 12 started filming. The fans were shocked , but so were her now-former costars, apparently. Ramona Singer claimed that they all found out about Bethenny’s departure in the media.
Well, she’s not done with the big news this week. Bethenny said that she is married. In the most casual way: via tweet.
Wow, Bethenny, wow. This is truly the end of an era. Bethenny Frankel is done with Real Housewives of New York. Who saw this coming? After a rough Season 10 feuding with Carole Radziwill, Bethenny had a great follow up with Season 11.
At the very least, she ended things on a high note, on good terms with almost everyone. She’s even in a stable relationship with Paul Bernon, who does not want to be on this show, so this does make some sense. Still, it really does feel so sudden. Who’s going to reveal Luann de Lesseps’ private secrets? Who is going to put Ramona Singer in her place?
On Season 11 of Real Housewives of New York, we saw Bethenny Frankel struggle with the death of her on-and-off boyfriend Dennis Shields. Dennis died on August 10, 2018 of a suspected drug overdose. Viewers saw Bethenny’s raw feelings as she grieved for Dennis. She was truly heartbroken.
Bethenny told RHONY co-star Dorinda Medley that Dennis had proposed to her, and he even gave her daughter, Bryn Hoppy, a ring. That is just so sad. Bethenny kept the engagement a secret. Then, Bethenny revealed that both she, and her daughter, had texted Dennis after his death.
The show may be called Real Housewives of New York, but none of the cast members are actually wives. Sure, they all have been at some point, but not anymore. It should actually be titled The Real Ex-Wives Of New York.
While that may be a more applicable label, Sonja Morgan is pretty sure that marriage is on the horizon for one of her co-stars. She believes that Bethenny Frankel will be the next RHONY cast member to get married. Sorry, Tinsley Mortimer. Bethenny has been in a happy, stable relationship with Paul Bernon for a hot minute now. It is a far cry from her previous relationships with Dennis Shields and ex-husband Jason Hoppy. That’s for sure!
