Dorit Kemsley and husband PK Kemsley just can’t catch a break. Ever since their opulent appearance on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, they have been plagued with bad story lines and press. Big fancy mansion is actually a rental? Check. PK owes a bunch of money he tries to weasel out of by filing for bankruptcy? Check. Dorit being sued by a former partner of Beverly Beach? Check. And finally, the worst accusation of them all – that Dorit and PK abandoned a sweet, defenseless little dog by the name of Lucy Lucy Applejuice to a kill shelter after adopting her from Vanderpump Dogs. CHECK. Whew, did I cover it all? No I did not, these are just the highlights. Don’t even get me started on Dorit’s fashion sense.
The one thing that has remained constant through all of these messes is the love and support that Dorit and PK seem to share. But now even that is being called into question.
The Ice Queen Cometh! Erika Jayne has been busy showcasing her talents of singing, dancing and acting on Broadway, where she is starring as Roxie Hart in Chicago. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been raking in the rave reviews for her performance and posing for pictures outside, where adoring fans are waiting after the show.
Erika isn’t just busy on Broadway, she’s also filming the latest season of RHOBH, along with fellow castmates Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Lisa Rinna, Denise Richards, Teddi Mellencamp, and newcomers Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke. Maybe to make up for the absence of the iconic Lisa Vanderpump, Erika Jayne and friends have been all of the media, hyping up this coming season and talking about how dramatic it’s going to be. Not sure if anyone actually believes that hype but that’s the story they are sticking to. But one big bone of contention that remains with fans is the lack of transparency on RHOBH. Mainly when it comes to all the lawsuits that the cast has been involved in.
Harry Hamlin is definitely one of the most low-key House Husbands. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna’s hubby is not one for drama or publicity. He is not a lawsuit lightning rod like PK Kemsley. Or a shameless business promoter like Mauricio Umansky. Harry pops up on the show on occasion, but avoids Lisa’s pot-stirring shenanigans. Maybe Harry is trying to protect his image as a serious actor. Lest we forget, Harry has appeared on LA Law and Mad Men and he also starred in the landmark film Making Love.
You have to wonder what Harry thinks about his lovely bride being on RHOBH. Lisa is a notorious attention seeker, who has acted as an unwilling Kim Richard’s’ sobriety counselor, has performed stripper moves on tables and makes tasteless jokes about her “pill bag.” To put it nicely, Mrs. Hamlin can be a handful. However, it is clear that Harry loves her anyway. Part of the secret of the success of their marriage might be that Harry chooses not to know everything about Lisa–and their daughters.
I feel like it was just yesterday when I teased the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast for not being able to quit Lisa Vanderpump like she quit the show. Oh wait, it WAS just yesterday and probably most days since Lisa’s exit from the franchise. Why,
Bangs Kyle Richards even claimed Lisa avoided her at BravoCon. Ladies, even Queen Elsa is begging you to let it go at this point.
Nah, not gonna happen. Season 10 is baking like a Thanksgiving turkey and that bird is looking dry. Why? Because our Beverly Hills denizens are finally free from the pillar of manipulation and deceit that tormented the group for years. Translation, their
scapegoat target jumped ship. And even though the ladies swear on their Hermès bags that LVP is both gone and forgotten, their actions continue to speak louder than their words. Maybe.
Great news everyone! The reigning Princess of Chanel and Court Proceedings has won a case. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has a new season right around the corner and filming is currently in progress. Season 9 found Dorit Kemsley and husband, PK Kemsley battling several lawsuits in attempts to collect on a debt. Sadly, Dorit did not share her financial anchor with viewers but at least we learned how great she is at
lying caring for animals!
Unfortunately for Dorit and her beloved, the man wanting his $1.2 million back wasn’t their only problem. Dorit had issues with a former partner in her world renowned bathing suit line, Beverly Beach by Dorit. Ryan Horne claimed a deal was made with Dorit and PK in 2017 to produce swimwear, along with owning a third of the business. I wonder whatever happened to that lovely woman in the Bahamas who calmly advised Dorit to “pay her friend” and also called Dorit a “cheap bitch”. Well, maybe now that unforgettable video star can rest easy because it looks like Ryan has bowed out.
Dorit Kemsley is a believer of everything in excess, exception moderation and paying bills. The star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills originally hails not from England, not from Israel, but… Woodbridge. Connecticut. When viewers were first introduced to Dorit, her accent became the source of much debate. Who is this international lover of
rented haute couture and bags that cost more than an automobile? Dorit with her endless wig collection and cosmopolitan lifestyle! Surely husband PK Kemsley plucked Dorit from the fashionable gambling tables at Monaco living under the James Bondesque alias, Domino Hasnocash.
The truth is, Dorit’s parents are Israeli and her husband is British. She left Connecticut at 19 to travel the world and wound up in Italy. Dorit managed to stay there on and off for about ten years and created her global swimwear company. After relocating to New York, she met PK and added another accent to her repertoire. Still, fans felt Dorit’s articulation was as phony as her bra size and never failed to call her out. Well, some things never change and Dorit was recently questioned once again about the mystery of her enunciation. Good thing her close buddies Erika Jayne and Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave were there because it got kind of awkward.
Let’s discuss Real Housewives of Beverly Hills! Now filming it’s 10th season, the cast is up two new ladies and down one star. According to ancient scrolls, #puppygate was the smokescreen created to avoid discussing “sensitive legal matters”. Dorit Kemsley and Kyle Richards both have husbands in hot water. They were also heavily involved with perpetuating the agonizing puppygate storyline. Coincidence? The scandal saw Lisa Vanderpump effectively giving the finger to her co-stars and the show, after being blamed for Dorit’s blunder with basic animal care.
Despite LVP’s departure, the sun has risen again on RHOBH. Or has it? Viewers hoping to get a taste of Mauricio Umansky’s multi-million dollar fraud lawsuit, will probably remain hungry. Those with a thirst for seeing PK Kemsley give Dorit condolences for her dead checking account, will most likely remain parched. So what will the ladies do to fill the time and keep us interested? The answer might be, nothing at all.
Well here’s some good news in the Land of Litigation, also known as Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It’s no secret most of the cast have been caught up in heavy financial issues. Kyle Richards’ husband Mauricio Umansky is currently under siege in a $32 million case over a Malibu mansion. Dorit and PK Kemsley were under the gun as well. They had several issues to contend with, including a lawsuit over Dorit’s swimwear line and an unpaid debt of PK’s from 2011. No one was more surprised than us when both of those cases were recently settled.
Erika Jayne’s husband has also seen his fair share of court cases. Not because he is an attorney, but because he owed someone money too. In January, Tom Girardi was slapped with a $15 million lawsuit on the grounds of using funds to maintain a lavish lifestyle. Although Tom denied these claims, his wife has been pretty vocal about how much cash it takes to put her together every day. In July that case was reportedly settled. Now there might be some light at the end of the tunnel for Erika and
her glam squad Tom. Apparently Tom has further made good on paying back funds, which is great, but they aren’t out of the woods quite yet. Hang in there, Mikey!
