On last night’s episode of Married to Medicine , the women laid all of their issues out on the table. Given this cast of characters, this can only do more harm than good. This group is so fractured. I think many of the relationships are beyond repair. But if they want to try, for our entertainment pleasure, I am here for it!
Contessa Metcalfe‘s pursuit of education is a point of contention between her and Scott Metcalfe. Toya Bush-Harris is forced to put on a brave face for her family. Jackie Walters hosts a party to try to mend the group. This Married to Medicine episode is packed full of drama. Let’s breakdown all the petty cat fights and get straight to the recap!
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Married to Medicine is BACK with a vengeance! This season, the drama has stayed the same, but friendships have definitely changed. On the season premiere, the tension has risen to a whole new level. Boundaries have been crossed and new alliances have been formed. The beefs are no longer one on one. There are so many fractures in this group, they are on life support.
Simone Whitmore is livid about Heavenly Kimes beefing with Cecil Whitmore via Twitter. Simone is also at odds with Quad Webb-Lunceford. Mariah Huq is upset with Jackie Walters for repeating the accusations about her using drugs. Contessa Metcalfe and Toya Bush-Harris still can’t get past their issues. I don’t know about you, but I am here for ALL of the messy drama. Someone might even get hit over the head with a purse again this year. Let’s get straight to Married to Medicine the recap!
Married to Medicine is now expanding the series to the West Coast. In a city obsessed with lifestyle and image, a group of successful female doctors and doctors’ wives navigate their personal and professional lives in Los Angeles. This season will feature these friends living and working in the medical community. In the City of Angels, it’s hard to know who’s real and what’s fake.
Atlanta isn’t the only city with friendship and relationship drama. These women share a bond from within an exclusive community. However, with a circle this tight, it’s only a matter of time before personalities collide.
Last night on a special episode of Married to Medicine, the girls arrive for a gathering at Contessa Metcalfe’s home. Everyone is in attendance with the exception of Mariah Huq and Toya Bush-Harris. I guess Toya still hasn’t gotten over Contessa lying on her. During the party, Contessa reveals her new breasts in a revealing swimsuit. I must admit, she looks great and is in better spirits. She proposes a girl’s trip to Los Angeles. We all know this is just a reason to introduce the fans to some of the members of the new Married to Medicine Los Angeles cast. Yasssss… new girls, new city and new drama. I am here for it! I can’t wait to see how some of these women compare to the cast we have all come to know and love.
The ladies are picked up from the airport by Contessa’s friend, Dr. Britten Cole. Of course, Heavenly Kimes finds a reason to complain. She can’t believe a doctor has a Jeep, with no doors. Well, I can’t believe a dentist, says “yo mama”. Britten reveals she watched her family struggle growing up. This propelled her to want one job that would pay her well. Currently, her husband and kids are in Florida until she secures her job and living situation.
This week on Married to Medicine, we get some insight into Quad Webb- Lunceford and Gregory Lunceford’s marriage as they sit down with Andy Cohen. The couple is going through a tumultuous divorce. They haven’t seen each other in months. It’s clear that this sit down is going to be loaded with sex, lies, and tea. I am ready to sift through it all to figure out what I believe is the truth!
Quad expresses disappointment in some of the statements that Greg made regarding their marriage on a radio show. Greg claims that they haven’t had sex since the reunion in 2014. Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, 2014!!! No wonder he was in a hotel room with another woman. Quad claims the lack of sex is because he couldn’t achieve an erection. I guess nothing is sacred or off limits at this point. Sigh! He said it was because he was working three jobs and under tremendous stress to make her happy. Quad believes he was cheating with other women and, therefore, he wasn’t interested in sex with her. I don’t think Greg was cheating for years. I think they had some serious issues in their marriage and maybe even with his libido, but I do believe he loved her.
This week’s Married to Medicine was the second installment of the reunion! I am ready to see the fallout from the bombshell accusations Quad Webb-Lunceford and Mariah Huq made against one another. Everything from snorting coke to stealing brothers-in-law was thrown out on the last reunion. I can’t believe it’s come to this, but I’m here for the drama!
The reunion begins with the continuation of the accusation that Quad slept with Mariah’s brother in law. She denies putting out the story and calls Quad “the scum of the earth.” In return, Quad accuses Mariah of doing cocaine. Heavenly then tells Mariah she needs to get her husband because he is making gestures at Quad offstage. Everyone takes a break and Aydin Huq is visibly upset. Upon returning to their dressing room, Aydin is screaming that a “homeless” person he helped is defaming his family. I literally laughed out loud at that. I remember when Mariah said that Quad was homeless and her license plate was her address. Quad seems like an opportunist that married Greg for money. So I don’t think it’s far-fetched that he helped his wife’s best friend financially in some way.
This week on Married to Medicine, all bets are off and the truces are over! Hopefully this reunion makes up for the boring finale episode. It’s time to rehash old beefs and give real shade. From the preview, this reunion isn’t going to hold anything back. Even Mariah Huq’s husband, Aydin Huq is threatening to bring receipts. So you know it’s about to get real!
I would be remiss if I didn’t first discuss the looks the girls were serving at the reunion. Quad Webb-Lunceford looked fit for a pageant in her royal blue ensemble. Toya Bush- Harris looked cute in a high ponytail and a flower embroidered sheer dress. Heavenly Kimes looked like she was just going out for drinks with the girls rather than a reunion. Jackie Walters slayed in her one shoulder gold dress and short wavy bob. Mariah had on a nice wine colored dress, but missed the mark with her make- up and hair. She looked like the lion from the Wizard of Oz with that big teased hair. Contessa Metcalfe… hmm, I didn’t like the dress. There was A LOT going on with all of the ruffles, but her new boobs looked great in it. Simone Whitmore missed the mark as usual. Her high ponytail swallowed her head and I hated the flowered/water colored monstrosity she called a dress.
This season on Married to Medicine, we have witnessed fights, fake reconciliations and even threats of choke outs. Hopefully the finale episode is one to remember. Last week’s episode was to be continued, after Mariah Huq received a scary phone call informing her that her husband, Aydin Huq has been admitted to the hospital. She rushes off the bus to her husband’s side, while he is still fighting off viral meningitis in the hospital.
All the ladies check on Aydin’s condition as a show of support, in light of his scary diagnosis. Mariah has been at Aydin’s bedside while he is in the hospital. She believes he may have contracted the virus from a patient in the ER. Although she is stressed about her husband’s health, she is hopeful that he will get better and they will be out of the hospital soon.
