Congrats are in order: Erika Jayne’s new book, “Pretty Mess,” just hit the New York Times Best Sellers list!
Erika Jayne shared on social media, “My pretties, we did it!!! #PrettyMess made it to the NY Times Best Sellers! I couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you If you haven’t purchased your copy of #PrettyMess get it now.”
I never realized how tight-lipped Kyle’s smiles were until today when I went looking for photos of her “pre-work” smile. I had to dig through pages of agency photos to find any of Kyle showing her teeth. I think she looked fantastic before, but if this new smile makes her happy, good for her. 😉
Last night was a good episode of Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. There was no particular reason – it wasn’t filled to the brim with drama, but it showcased the women in their elements and was filled with some real moments like Kyle Richards ultimate friendship faux pas. Excitingly we also got a lot of background information on Lisa Vanderpump, plus DoritKemsley almost overdosed (kinda, sorta) on flu medication which was hilariously so Dorit. (Yes, I’m a sadist). However the big exciting news was their trip to Berlin.
Unfortunately there is more bad news for Lisa and Ken. Days after losing Pink Dog unexpectedly, Pikachu passed away. Now Lisa is worried for the fate of all her dogs. She looks them over, this mountain of fluffery and docility, she decides each needs to be installed with a tracking device and cloned straight away. It’s what Nanny Kay would recommend after all! And she was a woman of sense; a medic during WWII who survived The Blitz, and then, in her elder years, moved with Lisa and Ken to LA when they opened their first restaurant there – a PIZZA JOINT in the Sherman Oaks Mall. So, Lisa did live in The Valley?
Obviously there are a lot of people who are going to adore Erika no matter what. There is a lot to like: she has an intriguing double life, she says hilarious things during her on-camera interviews, and she has such an over the top sense of style. The list goes on and on, but it is tough to watch her snapping at Teddi over and over again, when it appears to be unprovoked. Obviously none of the viewers know every single word exchanged between the two of them, but based on the episodes alone, Erika’s interactions with Teddi have been less than flattering- and that’s putting it nicely.
Even though it has become such a staple in the Real Housewives franchise, the psychic readings never seem to go well. In fact, they pretty much never do. It is almost always a disaster. From unfavorable predictions, to a room full of skepticism, it is just a recipe for disaster, but on the bright side, it usually lends itself to some good episodes.
Who could ever forget that drunk medium with the e-cigarette who told Kyle Richards that her husband “could never emotionally fulfill” her during Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 1? Well, apparently Kyle is not averse to all psychics/mediums – just that one in particular – since Kyle is the one who brought on Psychic Rebecca during the last Real Housewives of Beverly Hills episode.
Even though the Real Housewives franchise has been going strong since 2006, there still hasn’t been a gay full-time cast member. That is so shocking for many reasons. It felt like that could have been a possibility on Real Housewives of New Jersey when Rosie Pierri was making her regular cameo appearances. Everyone loved Rosie. She brought heart and humor to the show. She even had an organic connection to the cast. Why wasn’t she promoted to a full-time cast member? That was a definite misstep.
During Season 7 of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Robyn Levy and her wife made occasional appearances. We never got to know her very well, but she was close with the cast members during that time period, so why didn’t she get more screen time? All of the full-time cast members have been straight women. Erika Jayne, an avid LGBTQ advocate, thinks it is time for a change. I couldn’t agree more.
