It feels like a whole lifetime ago to remember this, but technically, Lisa Rinna joined Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a friend of Lisa Vanderpump’s. She knew Kyle Richards too, but LVP was the “in” they sold us on the show itself. Meanwhile, we all know that she signed on to sell more of those Lisa Rinna dusters on QVC.
From that point on Lisa and Lisa were frenemies at best, going back and forth with their playful jabs. At worst, they accused each other of some bad things and continually shaded each other in the most public ways possible. That’s why it’s super surprising that Lisa Rinna’s husband Harry Hamlin has nothing but good things to say about Lisa. Don’t come for us, Stans. What I’m saying is that I just assumed Harry would go along with his wife’s opinion, but he actually has very opposite thoughts. And it’s just nice to read something, well, kind for a change.
Lisa Rinna was the first famous actress to join the Real Housewives universe. This changed the game for sure. She definitely paved the way for Denise Richards and Garcelle Beauvais. Sorry Kim and Kyle Richards, but you weren’t exactly household names from childhood acting roles and being Paris Hilton’s aunt. Then again, Rinna wasn’t necessarily an A-list star, but anyway, my point is that it was an unexpected move and a bit of a risk when she joined the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Her husband Harry Hamlin wasn’t down for her delving into reality TV, not that we necessarily see much of him outside the occasional pie baking and family barbeque. He was afraid of the reality TV divorce curse, which is a fair thing to fear when he had already been divorced twice.
There was so much good content to come out of BravoCon, but I can’t help wondering about what we didn’t get to see. What was going down behind the scenes, behind closed doors, and after hours? Even a month after the inaugural event, there are new stories and bits of information trickling out. And I hope the tidbits just keep on coming.
On a recent Watch What Happens Live After Show episode, Kenya Moore and Andy Cohen dished on the weekend.
It’s been more than six months since she quit The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but it looks like Lisa Vanderpump still can’t resist taking petty little jabs at her former BFF Kyle Richards.
In a video caught by paparazzi earlier this week, the dethroned queen of RHOBH took it upon herself to shade her fellow OG for seemingly no reason, and in a way that honestly didn’t make much sense.
The word “real” may be in the title, but many viewers feel that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is anything but authentic. Why are there so many stories (i.e. the many lawsuits) that make headlines, but never get mentioned on the show?
Why are we being forced to watch so much glam squad footage instead of what is actually happening in their lives? Enter Brandi Glanville, who is back on RHOBH in some capacity for Season 10.
Is anyone else excited to see what Season 10 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will be like? I will admit that I am having a tough time envisioning a show without Lisa Vanderpump, mini-ponies, and swans keeping watch at Villa Rosa.
While we may have lost Lisa, we are gaining two newbies. Sutton Stracke, who is already friends with RHOBH star Lisa Rinna, is joining the franchise along with actress Garcelle Beauvais.
It’s been nearly half a year since The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills wrapped up Season 9, yet Lisa Vanderpump and her SURvers are still finding ways to talk about her unceremonious exit from the series.
Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix are in the midst of promoting their long-awaited cocktail book, Fancy AF Cocktails, and used the opportunity to dish about their boss’s constant and unending victim mentality while filming RHOBH last year. Well, that is, before she up and quit.
Harry Hamlin is definitely one of the most low-key House Husbands. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna’s hubby is not one for drama or publicity. He is not a lawsuit lightning rod like PK Kemsley. Or a shameless business promoter like Mauricio Umansky. Harry pops up on the show on occasion, but avoids Lisa’s pot-stirring shenanigans. Maybe Harry is trying to protect his image as a serious actor. Lest we forget, Harry has appeared on LA Law and Mad Men and he also starred in the landmark film Making Love.
You have to wonder what Harry thinks about his lovely bride being on RHOBH. Lisa is a notorious attention seeker, who has acted as an unwilling Kim Richard’s’ sobriety counselor, has performed stripper moves on tables and makes tasteless jokes about her “pill bag.” To put it nicely, Mrs. Hamlin can be a handful. However, it is clear that Harry loves her anyway. Part of the secret of the success of their marriage might be that Harry chooses not to know everything about Lisa–and their daughters.
