GOOD-BYE KYYYLLE!! Those two words must be in the top ten most quotable lines from Housewives. You can even hear Ken Todd’s rage just by reading those words. Since being uttered, Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump have been done with each other.
While they may not be friends anymore, they still seem to care a lot about this fight. Exhibit A being that neither of these women can stop talking to each other through the media about the incident at Villa Rosa. Just last week, Kyle threw shade at LVP, saying anything she has to say is “not important.” But surprise! Lisa has more to say too.
The current season of the Real Housewives of New York is truly unlike any other. The smaller gang of five women take on the coronavirus pandemic (namely, Ramona Singer’s maskless antics) and a racial reckoning across the country that truly impacted NYC in a significant way. The show FINALLY added its first Black cast member Eboni K. Williams, a friend of Leah McSweeney and a totally badass career woman.
It’s clear as Bravo has started to diversify Real Housewives casts from many cities that the burden is being put on the woman of color who are responsible for educating and correcting the behavior of upper-class white women of privilege. Just look at Tiffany Moon’s first season on the Real Housewives of Dallas or Crystal Kung Minkoff’s first few episodes on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. And honestly, it’s not their job to be the moral compass of the group. Just show me their massive houses and fabulous lifestyles, and let the ladies who can’t get with the program read a book to deal with their own issues.
Last week’s RHONY episode was especially hard to watch. Luann de Lesseps called Eboni “angry” and kicked her out of her house for correctly saying she has more education than her fellow co-stars. The Countess needs a chill pill. I’d understand the outrage if Eboni was trying to be the queen of cabaret or a spokesmodel for Jovani, but that’s not the case.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is back, and with a bang! So far so good on season 11 being the comeback we not only needed, but deserved. Fans eagerly awaited the season 11 drop for not one, but TWO promising shake ups. The first is of course Erika Jayne’s
downfall legal drama. Despite singing her husband, Tom Girardi’s, praises in a recent episode, fans now know Erika was already very aware of the litigation about to take place. Meanwhile, the other women seem to have zero idea what Erika goes through at night. I’m absolutely giddy to see how her otherwise loyal friends, Lisa Rinna and Kyle Richards take the news.
Speaking of Kyle, that brings us to our second shake up of the newest season. Kathy Hilton has entered the chat. Despite being on the periphery, Kathy has added more to RHOBH in days than her sister Kyle has in years. Don’t at me.
I’m sure everyone will join me in once again thanking Kyle Richards for bringing Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave back to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Though Teddi is only visiting, her return was anxiously anticipated by literally no one other than Erika Jayne, who is now approving all requests for desperate friendships.
Ahead of being the newest member of the esteemed Fox Force Five, Teddi caught up with an old friend for an interview. She joined Jeff Lewis to bring everyone up to speed on what we’ve missed in her absence. After the crickets chirped, Teddi spoke on what she could have done differently in the Denise Richards drama and how she might have accidentally provided Bravo with her replacement.
Lisa Vanderpump and Lisa Rinna starred together on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. They started out as friends, but ended as adversaries, though it’s safe to say LVP didn’t retain many friendships from RHOBH. Vanderpump’s last season revolved around a dog adopted from her rescue facility by Dorit Kemsley that ultimately didn’t fit in her new home.
After being accused of leaking rumors to mags, LVP was ganged up on by the cast and stood alone in her defense. LVP quit the show and ditched the reunion, but didn’t want her dog rescue legacy tainted by the puppy formally known as Lucy Lucy Apple Juicy. Season 9 offered viewers a taste of a potential new show centered around Lisa’s rescue organization, Vanderpump Dogs. At the time Rinna felt if LVP got another spinoff, she should profit from the proceeds. Lisa might think in the game of life, it’s Rinna take all – but LVP is not playing this match.
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore must have decided things were a little too calm in her world, so she fixed that… Kenya recently returned from filming the Housewives All-Star special in Turks & Caicos. She hung out with, well, pretty much everyone except Ramona Singer. Allegedly, the Real Housewives of New York star did not return back to the States with a lot of budding new friendships, which tracks for Mona.
Speaking of budding new friendships, it looks like Kenya and Kyle Richards might have bonded over their mutual love for long hair whilst All-Starring. Viewers know Real Housewives of Beverly Hills just kicked off and some old wounds were revisited. Last year Kyle accused Garcelle Beauvais of not following through on a charity donation, which didn’t sit well with Garcelle. Much of the first episode involved Garcelle and Kyle handling the upset like adults, which usually goes against Bravo policy. The situation was over, until it wasn’t, because Kenya decided to start something.
Garcelle Beauvais and Lisa Rinna’s unresolved issues faded into obscurity during last week’s episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Kathy Hilton’s insomniac habits and practical jokes took the cake. That was actually really entertaining to watch, an amusing trio of an oscillating fan, a Redbull, and a stack of newspapers. Not to mention the watered-down martinis.
Maybe Sutton Stracke wasn’t on the group text that this was meant to be a comical and entertaining episode before Erika Jayne’s divorce news breaks the internet. Sutton’s spiraling descent into a whirlpool of insecurity eclipsed all else. And it drained the energy of the group, so NO ONE had the initiative to do anything except to take turns pulling Sutton from the precipice and escape to bed.
Real Housewives of Miami was a great show and according to the folks at the Peacock network, it’s about to come back. We haven’t had a solid confirmation on the current cast, but it seems sealed in stone that original RHOM star Lea Black will not be on board. But if you miss the lilting sound of her laughter, Lea does appear quite often on Sirius radio with former Flipping Out star, Jeff Lewis.
Lea is married to a very high-powered attorney and actually met her husband when she was a juror on a trial. Naturally she may take more than your average level of interest in Housewives who are involved in legal disputes. After months of watching people take down Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne, Lea is viewing the entire ordeal with a sympathetic eye. Recently, Lea attempted to use her powers of influence in an effort to build support for Erika’s current plight. To be fair, Lea is used to rooting for the
