The Real Housewives of Dallas chugs along into another over the top episode. The Mexico trip has ended kind of abruptly and we’re back in Dallas. This episode had all the ingredients of a classic real housewives disaster. They’re deep into the season, the cast trip is behind them and loyalties are changing and a flesh-eating bacteria has entered the picture! The ladies are all back to their Dallas lives. Cary Deuber and Mark Deuber catch up and unpack. Cary is very low energy, sitting with her arms folded; telling her husband that she only had a good time with Kameron Westcott and D’Andra Simmons. She goes on to say that Brandi Redmond and Stephanie Hollman didn’t have her back and hasn’t talked to them since. Cary carefully tells her husband that LeeAnne Locken said he goes to the bars and has guys hit on him. Mark keeps his cool but says that he doesn’t need people to ruin them and walks out.
Brandi (and her misbehaving daughters) go to check out the venue for the upcoming white party. Brandi explains that she has an annual themed Christmas party. We’re treated to pictures of her husband in a bathing suit and one in a onesie. An “Event Designer” is all excited about some 6ft light up marquee sign that says “Play”. (??) In her interview, Brandi introduces us to Win, her white reindeer. We’re told they both don’t believe in boundaries, so watch out Kameron. Back in the event space, Stephanie joins and Brandi says she’s still upset with Cary. They’re both weirded out by fighting with their ex-friend. Stephanie gives Cary credit for being there for her when she had no one and just doesn’t want to get in the middle. Shouldn’t she mediate between the two before it gets ugly?
On this nusto episode of The Real Housewives of Dallas, we pick up right where we left off from last week. It’s high drama, booming theatrical music with drums as LeeAnne Locken watches it go down between Brandi Redmond and Cary Deuber. Cary maintains that Brandi made up the earlier comments about the red head’s doctor killing patients on the operating table. Cary feels LeeAnne turned everything around on her and no one’s talking about the threat she made on her life. It’s Cary’s turn in the hot seat. In her interview, LeeAnne says that the issue has always been and will always be – Cary. Back at the cave dinner, Cary is offended and can’t even look at Brandi. She leaves with Kameron Westcott who is too good to be seen in a cave feels bad for Cary. This is the beginning of Cary switching teams. Cut to: Drunken Mexican shenanigans. D’Andra Simmons takes a moment to apologize to her mom for dancing on top of the bar. Cut to: Cary putting another one of her face masks on her newest teammate, Kameron.
The next day the girls get up and are in recovery mode. LeeAnne suggests D’Andra scrub her back. Brandi and Stephanie Hollman laugh over the fun night they had with D’Andra, but not without commentary. “I like hanging out with old people,” Brandi said about D’Andra. (Let’s not forget the comment she said in Memphis about beating D’Andra to getting a facelift)
Y’all this Dallas trip is beyond bonkers. If these ladies despise one another so much, why are they vacationing together? I have to say D’Andra Simmons is a breath of fresh air on this season of Real Housewives of Dallas, and more power to someone who can tame LeeAnne Locken’s special brand of cray. Stephanie Hollman and Brandi Redmond are definitely better together (that bubble bath!), and Kameron Westcott’s voice is about to throw me over the edge. Without a doubt, the Dallas franchise has grown on me, and I think I could watch it year-round. That said, there seems to be some selective memory (or completely altered memory) when it comes to these girls and their plastic surgeons (“he’s an OBGYN”).
Addressing the drama that went down at dinner in Mexico on this week’s episode, Cary Deuber insists she never, ever, ever implied that Brandi’s mommy makeover doctor had someone die on his operating table. Brandi seems insistent that it was said, and it was sad to see the close friends go head to head. Can we just get the girls some more tequila please?
We return to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, where the ladies are on their first real cast trip. Doesn’t it seem like all the franchises end up in Mexico at one point or another? Now it’s time for The Real Housewives of Dallas. Kameron Westcott has rules for a quality vacation, Cary Deuber gets called out for being a know it all and LeeAnne Locken is ready to boil over. What could possibly go wrong?
Everyone’s getting in their swimsuits to go fight lay out by the beach. D’Andra Simmons‘ suit is new, don’t tell Mama Dee. Brandi Redmond and Stephanie Hollman are giggling like schoolgirls over their secret surprise, an XL dildo deemed “sexual chocolate”. Brandi can barely contain herself as she slips it inside D’Andra’s bag. Apparently, she’s the ‘conservative’ one on the trip… There’s lots of tequila, consumption of worms and grasshoppers. Kameron is learning a lot while watching D’Andra chowing away on some crispy worms. Grabbing her bag, D’Andra spots the dildo right away and pulls it out. Cary flees. Is it too much? Not according to her who claims to have nonstop sex.
LeeAnne Locken’s hands work very well, she’ll have us all know. But The Real Housewives Of Dallas star doesn’t plan on using them to kill Cary Deuber, and frankly, she doesn’t even remember making threats to do so! Before surgery, LeeAnne told Brandi Redmond that Cary needed to watch out, insinuating that she’d use her hands as weapons if need be. After watching this scene play back last week, LeeAnne says she doesn’t even recall this conversation, blaming her trash talk on the meds she was doped up on pre-surgery.
LeeAnne also thinks Brandi baited her into smack-talking about Cary, beginning with the ride to surgery. She explains how Brandi revved her up before the procedure: “During the entire drive to surgery, I got to hear all the horrible things Cary Deuber was saying about my surgeon. And, to be clear, Cary doesn’t even know my surgeon! Brandi also reminded me of how stressed out she was before her own mommy make-over. Cary had told her that Brandi’s own surgeon had, ‘KILLED SOMEONE ON HIS TABLE’. I just can’t even imagine how apprehensive Brandi must have felt…I don’t understand this need to insult a person’s surgeon RIGHT BEFORE SURGERY!”
The divide gets a little bit bigger this week on The Real Housewives of Dallas. There’s some crazy talk, but also a moment that looked to be out of Mean Girls: The Adult Years. One house husband won’t miss an opportunity to be on camera, and everyone can’t stop talking about LeeAnne Locken’s plastic surgeon doctor OBYGN cosmetic surgeon. Here we go –
Cary Deuber is alarmed because she’s only having sex with Mark once a day. They’re remodeling the practice and it’s all being put on Cary’s shoulders. She asks if it is okay if she runs to yoga and Mark suggests she keeps working. She wants to pick up her daughter after yoga and he ultimately allows her to “bail” on him again but not without making comments – so many comments. Cary is tired of battling Mark when it comes to giving attention to her daughter. This man needs to be brought down a peg or two, or three or four.
This episode of The Real Housewives of Dallas had everything, a proposal, women (and men) behaving badly and of course, a charity event. Perhaps what’s most refreshing about Dallas is that all the women play ball. This episode could potentially go down as a defining moment in this show’s run. It channeled “The Dinner Party from Hell” on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and even rivaled some moments from some of The Real Housewives of New York City trips to remember. No one held back when they sat down for tea for what seemed like nine and one-half hours. Here we go…
The show opens with a charity event. It’s the Essential Energy Fall Reception and guess who’s the keynote speaker? LeeAnne Locken, naturally. D’Andra Simmons and Kameron Westcott come to show their support. LeeAnne’s speech covers overcoming obstacles and the need to belong. Each week we learn a little more about D’Andra. This week, through her correlation to LeeAnne’s story, we hear that she too suffered from abandonment issues coming from a broken home. Mama Dee left her father and it destroyed his life. On a positive note, we’re treated to a fantastic vintage picture with Dee having the biggest hairdo in Texas.
Last year’s Real Housewives Of Dallas was all about the true-blue friendship between Stephanie Hollman and Brandi Redmond. So when season two began with a pretty serious rift between the ladies, it seemed like a glitch in the Matrix. Thankfully, not too many weeks had to roll by before Stephanie and Brandi talked through their issues, and now all is right in the world again!
Stephanie describes her relief at starting anew with Brandi and her total lack of surprise that LeeAnne Locken is up to her old tricks. But first, she expresses gratitude to the viewers for their virtual love. “Thank you all again for another week of kindness and support! Your out pour of support and encouraging messages truly do make a huge difference while going through this experience! If I could reach through the computer screen and give you all a big hug, believe me, I would!”
