No season of Survivor would be complete if we didn’t compile the all-time list of winners each season. With 38 seasons now in the rear-view, we just witnessed Chris Underwood, the 26-year-old District Sales Manager from Greenville, South Carolina, becoming the latest person to win Survivor…but where does this sit on the all-time list?
There are no words. No words to describe the – disgust? – that I’m feeling right now towards Survivor. But oh, words will come. Lots of them.
I will try to get through and formulate my thoughts on what looks on the surface to be a clear “jump the shark” moment for my favorite show. By all accounts, up until tonight, Survivor: Edge of Extinction was a good, if not great, edition of the best Reality TV Competition Show on the planet. But it wasn’t able to stick the landing. And in fact, not only was tonight’s ending shocking and controversial, but it may have caused permanent damage to the show’s legacy.

On last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2, we witnessed the conversation that eventually led to Jenelle Evans being fired from Teen Mom 2. Ding Dong the witch is dead!!!! It’s sad that Jenelle allowed her jobless husband David Eason to ruin a dream job. Maybe she will land on her feet or maybe she will just disappear to the land of obscurity. Hopefully, she doesn’t follow in the footsteps of Teen Mom OG alum Farrah Abraham. I don’t want to see Jenelle giving sex advice or doing porn. But let be honest, she virtually has no job skills at this point. That is why allowing another person to jeopardize your bag is so stupid. Good luck figuring out a way to bring in the same salary doing something else.
It’s just another day, and another threat from Jenelle’s husband, David. Why he feels it is appropriate to continue to harass the Teen Mom 2 staff is beyond me. This man is clearly unstable and I don’t understand why Jenelle keeps him around. He may control his wife and his household but he can’t control a television show that his wife is on. I honestly think David’s goal was to get Jenelle fired from Teen Mom 2 so his life would be private again. I also believe he is upset that his wife is the breadwinner and that he isn’t able to control her while they’re affiliated with Teen Mom 2.
We’ve now reached the edge…the edge of the season, that is. The Survivor: Edge of Extinction two-hour Finale is now just one week away, next Wednesday, May 15 (CBS of course!). The stage is set, the end is near, but judging by tonight’s penultimate episode, there is still much work that needs to be done before anyone walks away with the title of Sole Survivor.

On this week’s episode of Teen Mom 2, cupid may be in the air for two exes. Leah Messer and Jeremy Calvert may have a little matchmaker who will stop at nothing to have her parents under one roof again. I can’t blame her. I always thought Leah and Jeremy made a cute couple but it just didn’t last. Could there be hope for these two to resolve their differences from the past and move forward in the future?
Addie’s dad, Jeremy has started working closer to home and has been able to see his daughter more. While out with a friend, he shares how Addie recently asked why he left her mom. She also told him she felt that he abandoned her and her sisters when he left. She wants her parents to get back together now that Leah is broken up with Jason Jordan. Hmmm…. This is rather interesting. I thought it was odd how easily she seemed to get over the relationship.
The game of Survivor this season, according to host Jeff Probst, has been like an unpredictable game of pinball: Flippers are flapping constantly, with the ball moving so fast and furiously that you just can’t quite get a feel for where it may drop. It definitely feels that way, but tonight – keeping with the pinball references, and assuming you are old enough to know what pinball even is – the game went full tilt with yet another memorable Tribal Council.

On last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2, we finally get to know why Leah Messer and her boyfriend Jason Jordan broke up. Let’s just say, he wasn’t who he appeared to be during many of their scenes together. But I had a sneaking suspicion of that when he said on the last episode that he was the alpha of the house. Very interesting choice of words from a man dating a woman with three kids and a house of her own.
Kailyn Lowry is in LA to record her podcast while the kids are with their dad. Her special guest for the day is Amber Portwood from Teen Mom OG. She has some interesting things to discuss given her recent feud with Jenelle Evans. Amber admits she wasn’t proud of her reaction to drama. But, she warns to never come after her kids or her MAN. If you remember Jenelle posted a video basically throwing every negative thing she has ever heard about Amber in her face. She must have taken her meds that day because she was surprisingly calm and lucid during the interview.
“If they were smart, they’d vote out [me], but I’m banking on stupidity tonight.” This was maybe the quote of the night on Survivor: Edge of Extinction, and if the result at Tribal Council was any indication, there’s no way that a dummy is going to end up winning this cut-throat season.
