Survivor: Edge of Extinction Episode 8 Recap: Time To Make A Move

Has anyone noticed that Survivor has gotten rid of the “Previously On…” segment the last two weeks? That’s because the episodes have gotten so good, they simply don’t have time to spend on what went on last time. They need to get right into it! Seriously folks, Edge of Extinction has heated up and I think it’s time to stop hating on it (for those that have…) and give in to it. If tonight’s episode is any indication, there are tons more gameplay still to come!

As I do at the beginning of every recap, please heed the following. Remember that this recap assumes that you have already seen this week’s Episode 8 of Survivor: Edge of Extinction. If you have not and don’t want to be spoiled, please come back later! It’s important to add that while we WILL hit on all of the important developments of the episode, this is not a linear “blow-by-blow” recap. It is more of a discussion and reaction of what we just witnessed together.

kailyn-on-way-to-party

On last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2, Kailyn Lowry threw a launch party for her hair care company. With the amount of beefs she is currently in; it will be interesting to see who in her life actually shows up. Kailyn meets with her pregnant sister in New York to enjoy some sister time. While at lunch they discuss the child support case with Jo Rivera and the other people she is mad at. Her sister questions why she even still deals with Chris Lopez after all he has done to her. She claims that she thought things would change, but they haven’t. Despite all of their issues Chris and his family may be in attendance at the launch party. Kailyn even admits she needs to be single right now and everyone should stay away from her. Hmm… well, the first step she could take is staying away from them. We all know Kail likes the drama and will continue to be in toxic relationships.

It’s the day of Kailyn’s party and she is nervous because she doesn’t know if Chris will actually show up. Ughhh… she has a new business venture and all she cares about is if this guy who treats her like crap is going to show up? He actually graces MTV with his presence and Kailyn flies across the room into his arms. I’m sorry but Kailyn you can do better. You have three kids and it’s about time for you to stop wasting time with guys who don’t want to be in a serious relationship. There is just something about Chris that tells me he is along for the ride only when it benefits him.

NeNe Leakes

Age is certainly but a number judging by the season finale of Real Housewives Of Atlanta!

I don’t know when and where this development occurred, since I don’t feel like we’ve heard a word about this all season, but suddenly Cynthia Bailey is launching a wine cooler collection with Seagrams – which seems like it was really a ruse to launch the return of Kenya Moore. I mean, who could hate on a heavily pregnant lady, right? Oh, wait, NeNe Leakes could!

I have been racking my brain about where NeNe and Kenya’s latest issues stemmed from. NeNe finally confirmed they started over a random twitter question posed to Kenya that was the Bravo equivalent of Marry, Shag, Kill, except it was “Call, Text, Delete” between Porsha Williams, Andy Cohen, or NeNe. Of course, Kenya picked NeNe as her “delete.” So THIS is the origin of the animosity.

Survivor: Edge of Extinction Episode 7: Livin’ On The Edge

Pretty much every season of Survivor, the “merge episode” stands out as one of the best. It’s exciting, sometimes nerve-racking, but always entertaining, not to mention that it always stands as a pivotal moment for the game’s overall trajectory. Tonight’s merge episode was all of that and then some, but for different reasons than normal. That’s because the fun of the merge was largely overshadowed by the episode’s first 15-minutes, where this season’s “Edge of Extinction” twist finally came to fruition.

And it was awesome. It was epic. And it thoroughly gave me those Survivor butterflies that I so love to feel.

jenelle

On last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2, Kailyn Lowry has buried the hatch with two of three of her baby daddies. Joe Rivera, however, is still on her shit list for filing for child support behind her back. She is finally ready to launch her healthcare line and is going to send a PR package to her entire cast. I’m sure her arch enemy Jenelle isn’t going to let their feud go that easily. In fact, she learns that Jenelle has set it on fire!

Kailyn goes out of town for the weekend and talks to her friend about Jenelle’s viral video of her burning her hair products. Given that her products have increased sales due to the video, maybe she should thank her for her antics. Kailyn feels like her husband has a very negative influence on her and needs a psych evaluation. Well, I can’t disagree with that! David Eason has gotten kicked off  the show and working on Jenelle being next.

Eva Marcille - Real Houewives Of Atlanta

Another day, another Real Housewife with financial problems, living a life she can’t afford. This time Eva Marcille is the one accused of being secretly broke while fronting . The Real Housewives Of Atlanta are working the case of whether or not Eva has money.

I’m not really sure I understand this story but the gist of it seems to be that one of Eva’s bridesmaids, Seannita, got angry with her over the wedding – Why? What happened? Where is the rest of this story? Seannita took things to Mama Joyce‘s streets where she choked Eva’s wedding planner at the actual wedding (!). Then, ran all over town until she turned up on Marlo Hampton‘s doorstep like Postmates delivering tea, piping hot, ready to drink, and with a buy one, get one coupon. The story Seannita told Marlo, and then NeNe Leakes and Tanya Sam was witness protection program crazy!

Eva Marcille - Real Housewives Of Atlanta

The accusations on Real Housewives Of Atlanta have always gone straight for the jugular, aka the wallet. Tonight is no exception when Marlo Hampton makes some damning accusations about Eva Marcille‘s finances.

Eva returns from her honeymoon but wedded bliss is super short-lived when she and now-husband Michael Sterling jump right into moving to a new house. Eva previously said they were returning to the City of Atlanta for Michael’s political career, but Marlo has heard a very, very different account of their, erm, accounts! Or lack thereof… Perhaps the Sterlings shouldn’t have been shedding Benjamins for the wedding!?
