RHOSLC

Heather Gay Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City

In the premiere episode, Heather Gay certainly seemed like the most traditionally Mormon cast member of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. But looks can be deceiving. In her tagline, Heather states, “Just like my pioneer ancestors, I’m trying to blaze a new trail.”

That is because Heather was once married to “Mormon royalty,” whose family allegedly received a large inheritance from Howard Hughes. In fact, his family is worth a cool billion dollars.

Meredith Marks Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is the gift that keeps on giving. Bravo has bestowed upon us some interesting personalities, a fresh locale, and one cast member who married her step-grandfather. (Shout out to Mary Cosby!)

In the RHOSLC premiere, we met Meredith Marks, who is a successful jewelry designer. Her husband, Seth Marks, spends most of his time in Chicago for his job. The couple has three adult children: Reid, Chloe, and Brooks Marks.

Mary Cosby Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City certainly has some interesting cast members. One of the most interesting is Mary Cosby. So, what do we know about Mary so far?

In the most recent episode of RHOSLC, the ladies hit the ski slopes, but Mary was more interested in making snow angels. Well, to each their own. She was late because she was waiting for a package containing a new coat for the outing.

Whitney Rose Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City

Who knew Real Housewives of Salt Lake City would come in and save the 4th quarter of 2020? I know people weren’t originally “feeling” a Housewives franchise that centered around the taboo topic of religion, but RHOSLC is leading us to glory. The cast is diverse, though Meredith Marks and Lisa Barlow may or may not be the same person. Us regular folks have been given a glimpse into what it means to live under the strict rules of being a Mormon.

But only if you are active in the Mormon community. Jen Shah converted to Islam. Heather Gay identifies as “Mormonish” but doesn’t adhere to the rigid guidelines presented by the church. Mary Cosby is a Pentecostal first lady and Meredith is Jewish. Then we have breakout star, Whitney Rose. Whitney was a Mormon, until she wasn’t. But the reasons why Whitney left the church are varied. Now Whitney sets the record straight and would like to leave the word “excommunicated” out of this narrative.

Whitney Rose Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City made its debut, and I am here for it! I love the new faces, diversity, and fresh location.

A couple of the RHOSLC ladies already stand out, and Whitney Rose is one of them. During the premiere, Whitney renewed her vows with her husband, Justin Rose, to celebrate 10 years of marriage.

Lisa Barlow Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City

Welcome back to Episode 2 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City! I have to be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited for a second episode of Housewives in the history of the franchise. And of course, I say that realizing I may be biased being from Utah. But judging from the overwhelmingly positive response I’ve seen online from the premiere, it seems most of my fellow Bravoholics feel the same!

Now, before jumping into this week’s avalanche of drama on the ski slopes, I have to back up. Because in all my excitement about the premiere, I completely forgot to judge the first set of RHOSLC taglines! So let’s dive into the ‘Wives icy one-liners, shall we? Overall, I think it’s a strong bunch that makes a memorable introduction to the Utah ladies. Jen Shah is clearly happy to position herself as the resident queen bee of the group. Which, I feel the need to point out isn’t just a Beyoncé comparison; for those in the know, it’s a Utah reference. (Because of their community-minded work ethic, early Mormon pioneers christened Utah “the Beehive State.” There are even beehives worked into the architecture of many of the oldest buildings in downtown SLC.)

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Jen Shah

I have to admit, Jen Shah is quickly becoming my favorite housewife on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. I know, I know. We are only one episode in. But the moment she stepped out of a Porsche in open toed stilettos into the snow, I knew she was the housewife for me.

As if that wasn’t enough, Jen already has beef. And it’s good beef too. Jen is mad at co-star and ex-friend Mary Cosby for telling her she smelled like a hospital. While Jen readily admits that she might have, it was for a good reason. Jen was visiting her aunt in the hospital, who had just gone through the traumatic experience of getting both legs amputated. Do you think Mary gave a shit? Spoiler alert: no, she did not.

eWhitney says she would have done vow renewal regardless of whether or not she was on a TV show

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is here and a complete hit so far! Almost every scene in the first episode had fans’ jaws on the floor. The women brought fashion, a variety of cultures and religions, and a marriage to a former relative! Even Whitney Rose’s vow renewal caught fans’ attention. That’s right. A vow renewal to start her career as a Housewife. A choice and a half.

Any professional reality TV watcher knows a vow renewal is the kiss of death to a marriage on TV. There’s Vicki Gunvalson and Donn GunvalsonCynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas  (barf), and Ramona Singer and Mario Singer. To name just a few.
