Real Housewives Of Orange County Kelly Dodd

Kelly Dodd has been a controversial figure on Real Housewives of Orange County, especially last year. Kelly made many incorrect and dangerous comments about the coronavirus pandemic.

All Kelly has done is repeatedly apologize, only to issue more tone-deaf statements. In April o2020, the RHOC star referred to Covid-19 as “God’s way of thinning the herd!”

Kelly Dodd

Real Housewives of Orange County fans have seen glimpses of Kelly Dodd’s new husband Rick Leventhal on the most recent season. He wasn’t involved in any drama, but his daughter Veronica Leventhal, has been calling Kelly out. Very Publicly. After Kelly yelled “I’m Black” at the RHOC reunion, Veronica said, “I don’t think it’s okay for people who say they’ve experienced racism or prejudice to then turn around and inflict that same bigotry on other people. I don’t think you can experience the privileges of whiteness and then turn around and deny that those privileges exist.”

Veronica also said, “I don’t think that you can claim ownership on a culture or a nationality and then disallow privileges to those people, either through certain political perspectives or just subjugating them in other ways.” And, after that, she commented on her dad and new stepmom during a podcast interview. On top of that, apparently, Kelly and Rick can’t get in touch with her these days.

It seems Kelly Dodd’s orange might have gone stale, but never say never! Kelly had a rough season on Real Housewives of Orange County, but honestly, she has no one to blame but herself. She had really become a force the last few years. She participated in drama, she fed the drama, she was the drama. Kelly had actually developed a pretty decent fanbase because the Tres Amigas became an unholy trinity no one wanted. So Vicki Gunvalson was fired left, Tamra Judge was also fired departed, and Kelly had a big opportunity to reinforce her slot on the show.

She might have gotten a little cocky and felt she was made of Teflon, but Andy Cohen’s opinion is stronger in the Bravo world. Kelly definitely got some dings in her armor, but her own mouth was the source of her downfall. Kelly took an apathetic approach to Covid, and despite her lack of medical education, felt okay about spreading false information. She also managed to stick her foot in her mouth several times on the subject of racism. Kelly appears to have learned her lesson regarding her Rona comments. Now her stepdaughter Veronica Leventhal would like to educate her on bigotry.

Season 15 of Real Housewives of Orange County was a weird season. It was dark and disorienting watching the ladies deal with the Covid pandemic. But one special Housewife spent time bashing the science about the coronavirus, as well as her RHOC co-stars. Step right up, Kelly Dodd!

Kelly spent all her spare time spreading dangerous, and false, information about the coronavirus. In April of 2020, Dr. Kelly Dodd said of Covid, “It’s God’s way of thinning the herd!” Sigh.

Real Housewives Of Orange County Elizabeth Lyn Vargas Kelly Dodd

Elizabeth Lyn Vargas is having quite the rookie season on Real Housewives of Orange County. Elizabeth told her RHOC co-stars Gina Kirschenheiter and Kelly Dodd that she was under a gag order concerning her divorce from billionaire Bernt Bodal.

After their divorce was finalized in July of 2020, Elizabeth received a paltry $31,000 a month in support from her ex-husband. Elizabeth’s co-stars were tired of her bragging about her wealth. So, Elizabeth gifted them each a “badass” Louis Vuitton face mask that retails for $490.

Real Housewives Of Orange County

Welcome back to The Real Housewives of Orange County. Where, in case you missed it, the apocalypse has happened. After weeks of encroaching panic, the coronavirus has descended upon the OC. Production has been shut down indefinitely. The ‘Wives are all in isolation and have resorted to documenting their lives in quarantine via iPhone. It’s scary. It’s more than a little triggering to watch play back nine months after we all just lived through it. But it’s also a fascinating experiment in keeping the cameras rolling during a truly unprecedented time in history.

Unsurprisingly, all of the women are handling the pandemic differently. Braunwyn Windham-Burke has gone digital with her sobriety journey by attending AA meetings online. Elizabeth Lyn Vargas is focused on helping animals while spreading ridiculous conspiracy theories on her social media. Shannon Beador has forced her family into full lockdown mode. And Kelly Dodd is busy giving a giant middle finger to lockdown protocols altogether, jetting off to New York City to visit her boyfriend.

Kelly Dodd

In the most recent episode of Real Housewives of Orange County, viewers watched the ladies dealing with the beginning of the pandemic, just before filming shut down. Apparently, Kelly Dodd was bored and spent the better part of 2020 dropping false, and dangerous, statements about the coronavirus pandemic.

In April 2020, Kelly lashed out on Instagram at someone who was critical of Kelly flying from New York back to California after visiting her fiancé, Rick Leventhal. “Do you know how many people died from the H1N1, the swine flu or SARS? It’s 25% get your facts straight you only hearing numbers not the reality! It’s God’s way of thinning the herd!” Kelly said.  Sigh. She did apologize, but it was way too little and way too late.

Well, that’s it. My brain is permanently scarred. My eyes can’t unsee it. Did anyone have Kelly Dodd filming in bed with a shirtless Rick Leventhal on their 2020 Bravo bingo card? Because that’s how this episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County opened. And in the immortal words of one Valerie Cherish, “I don’t need to see that!” (Listen, if you know, you know.) Honestly, the less said about the Fox News reporter wanting to hang things Kelly (in 7 minutes though?), the better. The only good thing about suffering through that opening scene was seeing it get interrupted by Hoda Kotb reporting on the encroaching coronavirus.

This season is turning out to be a bit like Game of Thrones when it comes to the pandemic. Like the families of Westeros, the women are busy fighting and feuding and getting offended. But the real problem on the horizon is the proverbial White Walker they’re all dismissing. It’s coming, ladies. Even if Rick Leventhal isn’t worried about it. And it’s going to lay waste to this season, which apparently, we might already be about halfway through? If that’s true, is this jaunt to Palm Springs supposed to count as one of Season 15’s cast trips?
