You can’t get blood from a stone, but you can surely squeeze Bravo stunts for all they are worth. First we hear a Real Housewives All Stars project is in the works and now we have… Children of the Bravolebrities. If you aren’t staying awake at night wondering what haute couture Brooks Marks will release next, then who are you? Bravo has never ventured into these waters before, but it’s not a half bad idea. Why not hear from the people who never signed up to be on television?
While most of Bravo’s content stems from adults, often times the kids are the most level-headed. I’m looking at you, Gia Giudice. Some start out as toddlers and literally grow up before our eyes, venturing out into the real world and starting families of their own. They also have their fair share of challenges from cameras following them throughout their awkward years. Now Andy Cohen is giving fans the opportunity to catch up with some of the Bravo spawn and he has announced the line up. Spoiler alert, Milania Giudice got the shaft, but perhaps, that’s because she’s not 18 yet.
When Real Housewives of Atlanta fans first “met” Kandi Burruss‘ daughter Riley Burruss she was a little girl. We’ve literally watched her grow up and I’m not gonna lie, that montage of Riley moments that they showed before she went to college had me tearing up.
I also got emotional watching Ace Tucker teach Riley how to clean before she departed for college. (Clearly, I’m way too invested in this show). Ace and Riley seem to have the most loving relationship. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for Riley and her father Russell “Block” Spencer.” We’ve seen him appear on the show a few seasons ago, but it never seemed to go well. This season, Riley is hoping to get the child support payments that he never sent her, which probably won’t happen, but I’m rooting for you, Riley.
Welcome to another week of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta: Cynthia Bailey’s Wedding Edition. It’s starting to feel like this wedding is going to drag out all season. Between that and the lack of group scenes, this is a season on the verge of flopping. Thankfully Kenya Moore is working overtime to deliver the shade because if she wasn’t, what else would be going on? That’s a serious question. It’s cute that everyone is getting along, but SNOOZE.
Cynthia has a tall task ahead of her this week. She’s going to summon up the courage to tell her mother she’s inviting her alleged abusive father to her wedding. That’ll surely go over like a lead balloon. I’m sure her mother’s going to be thrilled with the prospect of seeing the man who hurt her so deeply at the wedding. It’s Cynthia’s big day, but is her mother going to find that to be a justifiable enough excuse?
Let’s breathe for a moment, and try to give this season of Real Housewives of Atlanta a chance. It’s not the most exciting season, nothing is really happening, but let’s have faith. We’ve seen a lot of Porsha Williams’ activism, but that’s really about it. There’s a brewing feud between Porsha and Kenya Moore. Hopefully that amps up the excitement factor of the season. GIVE US SOMETHING. ANYTHING.
These two have been carrying Real Housewives of Atlanta for many years, so they’ll be the ones to save it. Some of the last few seasons have been boring as well, but have StripperGate to look forward to! The other big topic of the group currently is the upcoming nuptials between Cynthia Bailey & Mike Hill. “CHILL” is taking over this season, and the wedding conversations and preparations are in every episode. 10/10/20 can’t come fast enough!
This season feels like the perfect reset for The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Drew Sidora & LaToya Ali are the new additions this show desperately needed. We haven’t even seen them yet, but from the previews, it’s probably going to be a fun ride with them. How they fit in with the existing cast remains to be seen, but if they can bring their shade game, they’ll do just fine. Real Housewives of Atlanta is home to the shade QUEENS, so it’s a tall task.
Hopefully we see more of Porsha Williams fight against police brutality and systemic racism. Porsha’s transformation since her first season has been beautiful to watch. She’s made some missteps along the way, but this social justice crusader is the perfect iteration of her. This version of Porsha feels like she can accomplish anything. It’s so inspiring for her daughter. I do wish though that she was filming more with the other women.
This is set to be the most monumental season of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta. From the pandemic to the focus on Black Lives Matter, and of course StripperGate, it’s going to be SO JUICY. Our favorite peaches always deliver no matter what. Porsha Williams has ascended to her spot as the new Queen Of ATL with her protesting against police brutality. Who knew she had it in her? That’s what we call a personal glow up.
While some might find it boring, the emphasis on the personal storylines is the reset this show needed. Last season was toxic because of the feud between Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes. With the exit of the latter woman, we can finally recalibrate and have a great season again. Plus, these are the real issues going on in the world. It’s fascinating to be able to view them in this lens.
Real Housewives of Atlanta is down one OG, but one thing is for sure, Season 13 is insane. Filming through a summer filled with a pandemic, fighting for racial equality, and planning Cynthia Bailey’s wedding, the ladies are back and very ready to party.
Viewers will meet two new cast members. Drew Sidora is joining the group full time and Latoya Ali will show up as a friend. Tanya Sam and Marlo Hampton, with her eternally empty hands, will appear part time as well. If a worldwide health crisis and extensive racial unrest weren’t big enough issues to address, we will also dive deep into the rabbit hole of STRIPPERGATE. Judging from the trailer and someone’s questionably placed ankles, this particular rabbit hole will be long, dark, and have dollar bills in his g-string.
On last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta Kenya Moore‘s marriage to Marc Daly officially exploded. Ironically at a charity event to raise up black men through positivity.
The only actual positive thing that happened last night was Eva Marcille‘s baby shower. Cynthia Bailey turned Eva’s friend Natalie’s backyard into a garden of paradise. It was a really lovely sunflower-themed event. Shockingly, everyone got along pretty well. Even Kenya and Nene Leakes!
Ever since Marc went over Kenya’s head to decree that NeNe is welcome in his circle, NeNe now feels she has some sort of trump card over Kenya. Nene has just been waiting for validation that she has extended multiple olive branches which Kenya has ignored. She sent multiple texts before filming started, for instance, but Kenya never responded. Obviously that’s cause NeNe has been on block! So has NeNe ever apologized for calling Kenya a buffalo while she was 9 months pregnant? Not that an insincere apology solves everything, as we will soon see with Tanya Sam and Kenya.
