Candiace Dillard Bassett was left dumbfounded at the end of last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac. In her eyes, she’s the victim of a gang up. The new alliance between Gizelle Bryant and Monique Samuels is her worst nightmare right now. Everyone at the table wants her to give an apology, and she wants no part of it. Does Candiace have any true friends in this group? Besides Wendy Osefo, maybe not.
After all of the drama last year in her personal life, who would’ve thought Ashley Darby would invite them all to her home? This Sip and See is going to be lit. Charrisse Jordan is going to be there, and we might finally get some interaction between her and Monique. So many rumors are flying. ADDRESS THEM.
Sundays have become the best night of the week thanks to Real Housewives of Potomac. The ladies are really on their game this season. On tonight’s episode, Ashley Darby hosts a sip and see event for the ladies to meet her baby Dean. In real life, this sounds like a sweet event where everyone would be soft-spoken and considerate of an infant. But, on this show, it’s not gonna go that way.
Instead, Ashley will sit there holding baby Dean while the Real Housewives of Potomac cast argues. Candiace Dillard calls Monique Samuels a “flip-flopper,” but Monique isn’t having it, telling Candiace that she is the true flip-flopper in the group. Candiace’s friend Wendy Osefo and majorly stirs the pot asking the group which women are really friends. Clearly, they orchestrated this to redirect the narrative after the women came down on Candiace during last week’s episode.
Real Housewives of Potomac just started airing Season 5. At this point, the cast is on good terms except for a lingering apology that Candiace Dillard owes to Ashley Darby. Monique Samuels and Candiace are on good terms, and Gizelle Bryant is less devious than usual.
But fans are anticipating the buildup of tensions between Monique and Candiace. The culmination of these tensions led up to huge fight at a cast party in October 2019. But the foreshadowing is already there, two episodes in with a vague rumor about Monique’s marriage. Gizelle was happy to share the details though. She revealed that people are questioning the paternity of Monique’s youngest child, Chase.
There was so much foreshadowing on last week’s Real Housewives of Potomac episode of the looming fight between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard Bassett. The Real Housewives of Potomac are back into the groove of things, and there is no other franchise on fire like this right now. Everyone is so hype waiting for the physical altercation to play out between Monique and Candiace. Hopefully, we actually get to see it, and it’s not heavily edited.
It would be nice to get a more in-depth look at Wendy Osefo on this new episode. Last week was such a sweet taste, but I want more! She’s going to fit in great with this group. Class is officially in session, and Wendy is here to school these women. Another big issue in play is the motive behind Candiace’s friendship with Charrisse Jordan. Is she plotting behind Monique’s back? Is there an ulterior motive here?
Thankfully, the Real Housewives of Potomac are back with a new season. After a frustrating delay, they came through during the season 5 premiere episode last week.
Tonight, there’s another new episode and get ready for this one: Gizelle Bryant and Monique Samuels are actually on good terms, and they’re even going to a one-on-one lunch together. Beyond that, they both decided to co-host a dinner in honor of Ashley Darby, who has been admittedly struggling with postpartum depression. As nice as that sounds, we all know the peace between Gizelle and Monique will not last… most likely not even past this episode.
Real Housewives of Potomac is finally back and I am so pumped. Honestly, it’s in my top 3 franchises and if you’re not watching, you better start. Take my word for it and thank me later.
While the season is just getting underway, there is already big drama brewing. We’ve seen in the press and we’ve watched it in the trailer. So it’s no secret what’s coming. One-time friends Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard get into a physical altercation while filming. Off-camera, the two women even filed charges against one another as a result. The charges have since been dismissed but whew, we haven’t seen a housewives legal mess like this in awhile. Now, it’s very hard for me to advocate physical violence, but Candiace did say, “Drag me, Monique.” It looks like she finally got her wish. As we see in the trailer clip, the ladies take sides and it doesn’t look like they are on Monique’s.
If you’re still sleeping on The Real Housewives of Potomac, please fix your life. This franchise DELIVERS. If you’ve been paying attention, you know we are in for a whirlwind of a season. All eyes are going to be on “Drag Me” Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard Bassett. The fallout of that friendship is set to be a major focal point this season. Plus, we are getting a new wife! Dr. Wendy Osefo is ready to school these women.
There’s no shortage of Potomac OG’s returning this season either. Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Robyn Dixon, and Ashley Darby are all back for another round. Gizelle and Karen have been frenemies for so many years, will this be the season they fix things? Robyn is usually paint dry boring, but maybe she’ll step it up. As usual, it seems like Ashley is giving us marital drama with more Michael Darby allegations.
The Real Housewives of Potomac cast return tonight with a new season. Candiace Dillard and Chris Bassett throw a party to celebrate their wedding anniversary. They invite everyone who has ever been a part of the cast, even the new girl Wendy Osefo. However, Ashley Darby and her husband Michael Darby are not included on the guest list, which Ashley claims doesn’t bother her while she adjusts to her new life as a mom. Oh, and this party is “denim and diamonds” themed. Yikes.
It seems like Monique Samuels and Candiace are working on their friendship after feuding last season, but anyone who follows their lives in between seasons knows that peace will not last for very long and it’s going to get very ugly at some point in the season.
