Pop quiz hot shot: You are rumored to have been fired from a bottle-throwing, hair-pulling, drama-filled reality show and you want to gloat about its now declining ratings. What do you do? Well, if you were ever a fixture on VH1's Basketball Wives, you take to Twitter. Duh!
Former BBW stars Jennifer Williams and Royce Reed didn't gel with the show's mean girls, and they aren't a part of this new "healing" season. The ratings haven't been up to par, and many attribute the lack of viewership to fans not condoning the ladies' past behavior. Guess what? That's just fine for Jenn and Royce!
Someone start playing the violin because Basketball Wives'Shaunie O'Neal has a sad story to tell. Not only is her show criticized left and right for portraying women in a hateful, bitter, and violent light (she's working on that, y'all!), but now she may have given someone the boot far too soon.
That's right! Shaunie is having second thoughts about canning former friend Jennifer Williams. While Nostrils doesn't lose any sleep over firing Royce Reed, she's starting to feel melancholy about dear ol' Jenn.
Sometimes I just want to give Royce Reed a high five. Sure, she's been unlucky in love and she got fired from Basketball Wives, but she always keeps things real…especially when she's dealing with former co-star Evelyn Lozada. She doesn't back down, does she?
Recently, Evelyn has told any media outlet that would listen that she's learning to be a better, more peaceful person. She even went on Iyanla Vanzant's "Fix My Life" last September where she told the self-help guru that she's working towards becoming a woman of God. Of course, that sentiment flew out the window last week when Evelyn resurrected her favorite phrase in an interview with Upscale calling Royce a non-m-effing-factor.
Happy New Year! I hope y'all are enjoying the first day of 2013.
It's been a while since we've heard from Basketball Wives' Royce Reed, but apparently she has a lot to say…and I mean A LOT. She recently posted a blog on VH1 which the network promptly took down–and you'll see why when you read it! Luckily for us, Royce reposted her diatribe on Tumblr, and she doesn't mince words. She has some choice words for Evelyn Lozada, and she laughs off any rumors as to whyShaunie O'Neal doesn't like her. Speaking of that relationship, she's give some background into how the show was developed, and Royce claims that Nostrils didn't have much to do with it. Interesting.
Holy majoley! I wonder how much Shaunie O'Neal pays her minions on Basketball Wives. Former star Royce Reed (who got the ax from the upcoming season) apparently didn't make much, although that makes sense considering Shaunie couldn't stand her anyway.
Royce and her ex-boyfriend are now embroiled in a bitter custody dispute, and she's asked the judge to have her son's father pay her legal fees because she can't afford to play hardball like he can. Of course, her ex is NBA star Dwight Howard who reportedly makes millions each MONTH (!!!), so it's no shocker that her BBW earnings would pale in comparison.
Well it finally happened! Royce Reed is officially dunzo with Basketball Wives. Amid rumors that she along with Jennifer Williamshad been fired from the show after the tumultuous season 4, Royce confirmed yesterday that she is, in fact, leaving the show.
Royce announced the news on twitter where she explained to fans she won't be returning next season.
There is always speculation about switch-ups in the cast, and I'm sure this won't be the last rumor we hear regarding new "wives" joining the show. The latest news is that Tasha Marbury will be joining the ladies for the upcoming season, and–are you sitting down?–she's actually the wife…of a basketball player! Crazy, right?
