Welcome to the dungeon! After a season of secrets, lies, and strippers between their thighs, The Real Housewives of Atlanta are reuniting. What started off as a slow season quickly developed into a crusade into everyone’s sex lives. From the infamous Bolo to the divine Prophet Lott, these ladies have some explaining to do. Luckily for viewers, the reunion is in person, and Andy Cohen’s going to get all of the answers we crave.
Kenya Moore’s detective ambitions are surely going to be a hot topic at the reunion. Her obsession over Porsha Williams’ alleged tryst with Bolo rubbed many the wrong way. Why did it matter so much to her? What was her motivation for pursuing the truth? If Porsha was a single woman at then time, should it even matter? FINALLY, the women are together again and can speak on EVERYTHING.
Years ago, we saw Kandi Burruss‘ daughter Riley Burruss attempt to reconnect with her estranged father Russell “Block” Spencer on Real Housewives of Atlanta. We didn’t hear much about their strained relationship until the current season when Riley shared that she wants the child support money that she never got from her dad.
After that, Block slammed Kandi and his own daughter in a radio interview. He claimed that Kandi knew she was a side piece when they conceived Riley. He even said that he’s “cool” with all of his kids except for Riley. Yikes. Now, Kandi is addressing his claims.
When Real Housewives of Atlanta fans first “met” Kandi Burruss‘ daughter Riley Burruss she was a little girl. We’ve literally watched her grow up and I’m not gonna lie, that montage of Riley moments that they showed before she went to college had me tearing up.
I also got emotional watching Ace Tucker teach Riley how to clean before she departed for college. (Clearly, I’m way too invested in this show). Ace and Riley seem to have the most loving relationship. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for Riley and her father Russell “Block” Spencer.” We’ve seen him appear on the show a few seasons ago, but it never seemed to go well. This season, Riley is hoping to get the child support payments that he never sent her, which probably won’t happen, but I’m rooting for you, Riley.
This is set to be the most monumental season of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta. From the pandemic to the focus on Black Lives Matter, and of course StripperGate, it’s going to be SO JUICY. Our favorite peaches always deliver no matter what. Porsha Williams has ascended to her spot as the new Queen Of ATL with her protesting against police brutality. Who knew she had it in her? That’s what we call a personal glow up.
While some might find it boring, the emphasis on the personal storylines is the reset this show needed. Last season was toxic because of the feud between Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes. With the exit of the latter woman, we can finally recalibrate and have a great season again. Plus, these are the real issues going on in the world. It’s fascinating to be able to view them in this lens.
