We all know that when Housewives get a divorce, there is bound to be lots of drama. Divorce settlements, custody issues and sordid allegations often accompany the splits. After a year or two, even the ugliest of divorces usually cool down and the ladies move on to other storylines.
Tamra Judge has been an exception to that rule. Since she and ex-husband Simon Barney split in 2010, the two have often had a contentious relationship. Tamra has not been shy about telling her side of the story, sometimes on the Real Housewives of Orange County–which has probably add fuel to the fire. Now, according to Tamra, things are finally looking up in the relationship between she and her ex.
It seems like Tamra Judge and Simon Barney were married a whole lifetime ago. When Tamra first joined Real Housewives of Orange County, she and Simon were all about the PDA. Their biggest issue was Simon’s tension with Ryan Vieth, Tamra’s oldest son from a previous marriage.
Then we saw Simon, Tamra, and Vicki Gunvalson have a heated discussion at one of the season finale parties. In a limo on the way home, Tamra told him they were getting a divorce and that was that. Well, not really. Simon didn’t sign off to let their kids film RHOC. Their son Spencer Barney only reappeared when he turned eighteen and was able to sign his own paperwork. Their daughter Sidney Barney moved out of Tamra’s house to live with Simon full-time. And, of course, there is that infamous longstanding feud between Tamra and Sidney. All Sidney wants is for Tamra to stop talking about her on the show. However, Tamra can’t help talking about how she can’t talk about Sidney on the show, which constitutes talking about Sidney on the show, obviously. The whole thing could just be so simple, but it isn’t. Were the RHOC cameras rolling when Tamra and Simon reunited with their daughter for a school dance? Probably not, but that would have been very interesting.
The Real Housewives of Orange County wrapped up Season 13 last December, but since then we have had a flurry of news about the ladies. The OG of the OC Vicki Gunvalson has been sued for fraud and initiated a lawsuit of her own against ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers for re-payment of $266,000 in alleged loans. And everyone’s favorite casita dwelling divorcee about town Gina Kirschenheiter was arrested for a DUI in February.
Other than Tamra Judge accusing ex Simon Barney of refusing to let their youngest daughter film on the show, we have not heard much from her, however. Which is a little unlike the lady we have come to know…and at best…mildly tolerate. Now, however, Tamra has emerged in a rather dramatic way during the off season involving an ugly accusation against her fellow Housewife, Kelly Dodd.
Real Housewives of Orange County has had more than its share of divorces amongst cast members. Some of the splits have been relatively low drama-like the Gina/Jeanas-Gina Kirschenheiter and Jeana Keough. Other un-couplings have occurred after decades-long marriages fell apart-like the unions of Lynne Curtin and Vicki Gunvalson.
And a few breakups have been ugly-like those of OC besties Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge. Tamra probably gets the “award” for the longest standing drama following a breakup, however. Since she and ex-hubby Simon Barney parted ways in 2010, they have engaged in public battles over parenting and child custody. Now, Tamra is alleging that her youngest daughter Sophia wants to film on the show, but Simon won’t allow it.
As far as Real Housewives divorces go, the split between Shannon Beador and David Beador is one of the longest. And ugliest. Certainly trumping her friend Vicki Gunvalson’s split from Donn Gunvalson. And rivaling the years-long divorce drama of her Real Housewives of Orange County bestie Tamra Judge and ex Simon Barney.
Since filing for divorce in December of 2017, the former couple has been battling it out in court. Over everything from spousal support to custody matters related to their three daughters. There currently seems to be no end in sight to the conclusion of the former couple’s divorce negotiations. And now David claims that Shannon’s income is much higher than his. He is asking to have his support payments lowered.
Last night was part three of the Real Housewives Of Orange County reunion. Which means this bizarre season is finally over. Part 3 was all about Shannon Beador, as pretty much every part of everything is. As Shannon said, “I’m sorry for being me me me me me!”
Is Shannon crazy? Is Shannon an emotional wreck? Are the voices in Shannon’s head actually Tamra Judge reading a script from David Beador‘s iPhone on how to manipulate and condescend Shannon into a meltdown? #yes
But first a Kelly Dodd montage! Kelly is dating, dating, dating and ignoring
Jolie who Michael Dodd is dating. But Vicki Gunvalson isn’t! Obviously, she is very invested in what is going on in Michael’s life.
Last night was part 2 of the Real Housewives Of Orange County reunion. Shannon Beador found herself behaving like a real-live normal woman for a change.
Part one of the reunion ended with Kelly Dodd screaming into the phone and crying. Part 2 opened with Vicki Gunvalson apologizing for repeating a rumor she heard about Kelly using cocaine. While that is all nice and good, we know that Vicki’s apology is as sincere as the one Kelly gave for calling Vicki a “pig” and a “fat ass.” Shannon, however, ermerges as the unlikely voice of reason when she points out that the negativity and tit for tat is really hitting too low and isn’t making either woman feel (or look) good. And no amount of plastic surgery erases a bad attitude!
Even though Kelly Dodd joined Real Housewives of Orange County as a friend of Meghan Edmonds, that friendship seems to be on the rocks these days. Meghan asked Kelly if she had a boyfriend on the side and Kelly fired back by saying that Meghan’s husband Jim Edmonds is having an affair.
Other than that, not much has happened between these two, but it’s clear shit is about to go down since they are constantly ripping on each other on social media and in interviews.
