Real Housewives of New York has been under plenty of scrutiny this season. It’s not looking good. With the exit of Dorinda Medley and Tinsley Mortimer, there was plenty of speculation about how the new cast would work. Leah McSweeney was added last year, bringing some
chaotic energy youth into the mix. And Eboni K. Williams was added, becoming the first Black housewife to join the franchise.
But Eboni has had a lot of hate for her role on the show, with fans calling her too “preachy.” It’s no surprise that educating OG housewives like Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps might be a tall order. And Eboni is taking the hate in stride, refusing to apologize for who she is. Aside from Eboni, Leah has also been blamed for “ruining” the franchise.
The Real Housewives of New York has undergone plenty of changes throughout its 13 seasons. It all began with Jill Zarin and her “fabulous circle of people” playing tennis and going to charity events. To be fair, the current ladies still do that, but also aren’t afraid to jump in pools naked or throw ravioli at one another. Long gone are the days of the Jill vs. Bethenny Frankel feud. Or Alex McCord and Simon van Kemp’s co-dependent relationship. And while a lot has changed, Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps have managed to make it through.
RHONY fans have watched kids like Avery Singer grow up. We’ve mourned deaths, including that of Jill’s longtime husband Bobby Zarin. And while Jill the OG may have not held an apple since Season 4, she’s still an important part of RHONY history. So it’s no wonder she was invited to appear as part of Watch What Happens Live’s episode featuring housewives from seasons past. She earned her place.
This story has been circulating all weekend, but some new details have come to light. But, let’s take it from the top for anyone who needs to catch up. Queer Eye star Bobby Berk is calling out a Real Housewives of New York cast member for bad behavior.
He accuses the woman of stealing from him before he became a reality star himself. He doesn’t name the New York Housewife who did him wrong, but he did share a lot of details that help narrow down the possibilities.
From the moment he burst onto the screen back in 2016, Dorit Kemsley‘s husband PK Kemsley has been a polarizing figure on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In fact, the term “polarizing” is undoubtedly a bit of an understatement.
Like the Simon Van Kempens, Slade Smileys and Jim Marcheses that came before him, the British talent manager quickly became infamous within the Housewives franchise for jumping into the fray with the women and, after seeing PK declare “I hope it’s not over, I love drama” in the Season 10 trailer, his fashionista wife is opening up in a new interview about just how in the mix her opinionated hubby gets this year.
The Bravo family of shows always gives us plenty of drama. But like any real family, they band together during tough times. The coronavirus has hit the whole world hard and so many Bravolebrities are pitching in and helping out. Bethenny Frankel has already delivered over 1 million protective suits to New York and Louisiana. Former RHONY housewife Jill Zarin started a program to feed essential medical workers battling on the front lines. Even Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz are donating their Cameo proceeds to TomTom workers out of work.
But the Bravo world still received devastating personal loss due to coronavirus. A few weeks ago, we heard the news of longtime RHONY editor Peter Gamba passing from coronavirus. Peter spent 12 years working on the iconic franchise.
Just like the rest of us, Bravolebrities can be Bravo fans as well. Vanderpump Rules couple Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark are Real Housewives of New York superfans. They love watching RHONY together, which sounds like the ideal relationship to me.
Stassi is so invested in RHONY that she’s willing to put her own Bravo paycheck on the line if she can make some casting changes.
Ah, Kelly Bensimon. I see you, dear. The former Real Housewives of New York
wackadoo amateur photographer is speaking again. We don’t need to be reminded of Kelly. She burned SATCHELS OF GOLD into our heads years ago.
I will give her this, Kelly provided some legendary moments during her time on the show. #alsharpton Her epic breakdown behavior on Scary Island had people questioning both her motives and mental health. I have felt bad for Kelly over the years, but all of that is gone. Kelly is now forcing me to defend Bethenny Frankel, and I can’t forgive her for that.
Luann de Lesseps pleaded to “being fabulous” in her tagline for season 11 of the Real Housewives of New York. A ballsy nod to Countess Lu’s arrest in Palm Beach for being a hot drunk mess. These days the Countess’s fabulousness consists of more feuding than etiquette, so there are plenty of candidates for the crown of “least favorite.”
Luann’s conflicts with Dorinda Medley and Ramona Singer have been a focus of the season so far. Both costars angered Luann by mocking her approach toward rehab and recovery. For the moment, Luann and Bethenny Frankel appear to be on solid ground. But based on their past, there is some truth to Ramona calling it a friendship by “default.” In past seasons, Luann and Carole Radziwill were mostly “all uncool.” It was a coldness rooted in Carole’s relationship with Adam Kenworthy, Luann’s former chef and the ex-boyfriend of her niece. Luann has even accused Tinsely Mortimer of being a mean girl even though I don’t think Tins could hurt a fly. So, who is Lu’s least favorite Housewife?
