As random as this does seem, it seems like everyone on a Bravo show meets each other eventually.
Let’s hope this about does it regarding
anything court cases involving Thomas Ravenel. Since his departure from Southern Charm, Thomas has been keeping it busy with his lawyers. On one side he had the exhausting, long term custody battle with former flame, Kathryn Dennis. But on the other side, he had a nasty little sexual assault charge.
After Thomas was arrested on allegations of rape, he waited many months for the case to go to trial. The person who alleged the crime against Thomas was the nanny of the children he shares with Kathryn. Recently Thomas plead guilty to the charges against him. He received a 30-day sentence that was suspended to a $500 fine. He also had to pay the victim’s legal fees and make a charitable donation to an organization specializing in surviving sexual assault. But that wasn’t all he had to do. New details about the settlement have been released, and some things might surprise you.
Former Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel recently avoided serious consequences for a sexual assault charge. He has also engaged in a long-term custody battle with Kathryn Dennis over their two children. We never hear too many positive things about T-Rav. Viewers remember his subtle gaslighting techniques and fondness for bourbon. While fans were once fond of the ex State Treasurer, reports about his alleged volatile personality and litigious nature have plagued him following his departure from the show that made him infamous.
Thomas ultimately plead guilty to the charges he faced, brought on by a former nanny. And although he avoided
jail severe penalties in that case, there is hope that it humbled him. Perhaps he learned a lesson. Maybe it released a gentler side of T-Rav? Well, don’t hold your breath. Thomas might be misunderstood, but he certainly isn’t being pleasant about explaining himself.
I just want to begin by saying even for the most jaded reality television drama lovers, this one is sketchy. Southern Charm star, Kathryn Dennis has been accused of many things. She had a problem with substance abuse and went to rehab. She has been accused of being an unfit mother by Thomas Ravenel. The courts disagreed and she was awarded 50/50 custody of her kids after a lengthy battle. The father of her children also accused Kathryn of conspiring against him with the victim of a now-settled sexual assault charge. Thomas admitted guilt and was forced to pay a fine.
Throughout all of these accusations, Kathryn has remained relatively low key. She lost her mother to cancer over the summer and ended her relationship with former boyfriend, Hunter Price. Aside from a couple of car accidents, which didn’t exactly help her reformed image, Kathryn generally stays under the radar. Until now, that is. In a very twisted turn of events, new allegations were lodged against Kathryn. But by all accounts, it has no chance of sticking.
were all right finally have some answers regarding the sexual assault trial that has plagued former Southern Charm star, Thomas Ravenel. In September 2018, Thomas was arrested. He was charged with assault and battery in the second degree. The charge stems from an incident that took place in January of 2015. While Thomas has faced other allegations of assault, this particular time it centered around the nanny of Thomas and Kathryn Dennis’ two children.
The victim accused Thomas of some truly heinous acts including, but not limited to, moderate bodily injury and touching her private parts and/or threatening to injure the victim. Since the assault, Thomas has bided his time with a custody fight for the children he shares with Kathryn. Thomas was finally able to address the sexual assault charges against him in September 2019. Apparently, we live in a society where a man can admit forced violation of a woman and walk by paying a fee less than someone’s monthly rent. Thomas entered a guilty plea and paid a $500 fine. If you have been scratching your head, wondering how in the hell this can happen, we have some details.
Isn’t it great to have Below Deck back? How beautiful is the exotic Thailand setting? I think this might be the most stunning place Below Deck has been yet. Back for more charter merriment on the high seas are Captain Lee Rosbach, prickly chief stew Kate Chastain and last year’s favorite deckhand, now promoted to bosun, Ashton Piennar.
The yacht drama has already started with a nauseatingly sick on the first charter chef Kevin Dobson. Handful deckhand Abbi Murphy and complaining third stew Courtney Skippon are sure to make for an eventful season. Such crew members make you wonder, what would Kate do if she could actually pick her own crew? Maybe from some other Bravo franchises?
Can you believe it has been over a month since the finale of Southern Charm? Although it might not have been the most exciting season, it was still enjoyable spending time with the Charleston gang. We watched Cameran Eubanks grow into motherhood. Kathryn Dennis mostly laid low, in the midst of an ugly custody battle with ex Thomas Ravenel. Austen Kroll spent the season in relationship drama with Madison Lecroy. And Shep Rose, well, he somehow morphed into the world’s oldest, angriest frat boy.
Craig Conover had his share of ups and downs during Season 6. He began to move on from ex Naomie Olindo, but later revealed during the reunion that he had been battling a problem with Adderall. Despite Craig’s issues, he finally started to move forward with his pillow business, Sewing Down South. It was great to see him start to come into his own. Craig also just announced another venture into business, Mesu, a Mexican-sushi fusion restaurant in Charleston.
Southern Charm’s Craig Conover has always been a little slow to follow up with his goals. Viewers watched for several seasons while Craig procrastinated about taking the bar exam. His girlfriend at the time, Naomie Olindo, frequently expressed frustration with his easy-going approach to life. Co-star Shep Rose made fun of Craig for his lack of direction. When Craig had an opportunity to partner with Patricia Altschul on a pillow project, he failed to follow through with deadlines and she was forced to put the project on hold.
This year, however, Craig seems to be more ambitious. He has started an online pillow business, Sewing Down South, even selling out in an hour at his first in-store appearance. Now, Craig is expending his horizons even further, with his announcement that he has ventured into the restaurant business.
