I’m starting to think maybe Denise Richards doesn’t have the best taste in men. Don’t get me wrong, I love her, I really do. But after seeing her current husband, Aaron Phypers bonkers lecture on the latest episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, I’m starting to really wonder. In case you missed it, Aaron gave a very questionable speech on atoms and cancer at Kyle Richards‘ dinner party. As if that wasn’t strange enough, he then said people were following them as Denise tried (unsuccessfully) to shush him for their “safety”. Oof. If you haven’t watched, I highly recommend so you know what you’re dealing with this season. At the very least, read the recap.
But it’s not just Aaron that is out there. Remember Denise’s ex is none other than Charlie Sheen. And her ongoing drama with him was featured on the first episode of RHOBH this season. While out for drinks before Kyle’s fashion show, Teddi Mellencamp decided to alert Denise to something she saw in the press. That something in question was Charlie saying he couldn’t afford to pay for child support, despite Denise’s instance that he doesn’t anyway. The women, including Erika Jayne, tried in vain to convince Denise to take this to court. But despite Teddi telling Denise that Charlie said she was “behaving like a coward”, Denise wouldn’t budge. According to Denise, “I’ve been called worse by him. Actually, that’s tame.” I love how unflappable Denise is.
On last night’s Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Teddi Mellencamp hosted an All In retreat which no one wanted to go to at all, so they went all in on Kyle Richards instead.
Despite being invited, told it didn’t matter if she attended, and then ultimately being uninvited there is Sutton Stracke, riding in a car with Kyle and Erika Jayne to Teddi’s retreat.
Sutton, displaying her good southern manners, listens to Kyle prattle on about how busy she is. Being Kyle is an exhausting, nonstop, all-consuming, ever-involved endeavor of Kyle-ness. Like Kaftans Through the kloset karosel, these are the days of Kyle’s life. Sutton is actually only half-paying attention because she’s consumed with her own worries about dealing with Teddi. Even though Sutton apologized and received a reluctant OK to attend the retreat she’s still nervous about what to expect.
We’re only three episodes into Season 10 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and the new “friend of the housewives” Sutton Stracken has certainly already made her mark. Some people say she’s ruffling feathers. Some say she’s made a splash. I say she’s been more like a freaking earthquake. We finally have a housewife in Beverly Hills who has even less of a filter than Lisa Rinna. I don’t think the ladies quite know how to handle it.
While I’ve never had to watch myself on TV before, I imagine it would involve a lot of cringing and regrets. That seems to be the case for Sutton, who has been watching the series from her mansion in LA. While the Internet has already dubbed Sutton as a “mean girl,” she’s insisting that this is not the case.
Well, it’s safe to say Denise Richards is
saving the season hellbent on raising some eyebrows on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. From the gate, we learned Denise has new drama with ex-husband and tiger blood connoisseur, Charlie Sheen. Then poor Denise suffered a rogue intestinal situation with an extensive multiple hernia operation. On the heels of recovering from the procedure, Denise and newish spouse, Aaron Phypers, found themselves on the receiving end of an invite from Bangs Kyle Richards, for a dinner party…
Any fan of RHOBH knows when a group sits down to eat a high-end meal consisting of proteins, salad, and
one or two of Mauricio Umansky’s edibles vodka, sparks are sure to fly. On this particular occasion, sparks did fly, which resulted in Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave crying. Because, of course it did. But fans got an extra treat when we received insight on controversial medical breakthroughs, courtesy of Aaron. Now I’m not saying there is a helicopter following Denise and Aaron’s every move right now, but they probably are.
We are three episodes into Season 10 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Last week’s episode aptly titled “First Impressions, True Confessions” saw the women attending a dinner party at Kyle Richards’. Everyone went around to share their thoughts on one housewife in a very pageant-approved way. This was until we got to Sutton Stracke, who stopped the pleasantries in their tracks and told Teddi Mellencamp she thought she was going to be “boring.”
Sutton has been getting a lot of heat online. For praising manners and class while being rude herself (fair). For not being relatable or entertaining. The list goes on. Jackie Goldschneider, polarizing enough on her own, from Real Housewives of New Jersey even came out to share she is not a fan of Sutton. In the height of what feels like a smear campaign against Sutton, Lisa Rinna came forward recently to say that the show needed Sutton.
Throw her to the wolves and the show will go on! Before Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiered, the big question on everyone’s mind was “How will the show survive without Lisa Vanderpump? (Well, the mind of every LVP fan, at least…) However, after three incredibly well-received episodes, the answer to that question seems to be “Quite well, thank you very much.”
In a new interview with Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp, Andy Cohen opened up about why the show is working so well in its first LVP-free season.
Sutton Stracke has made quite the splash on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. We are only three episodes in and she has already proved to be someone worth talking about. Good or bad. So what have we learned about Sutton so far? As Lisa Rinna has told us (many times now), Sutton is rich rich. We get it, Rinna. Sutton likes couture clothing and will point that out to anyone. She is also big into manners, which became crystal clear in the last episode. Sutton practically threw a hissy fit over Kyle Richards not using place cards at her dinner party. Can you imagine!? But for someone so hellbent on proper manners, Sutton didn’t seem to mind telling Teddi Mellencamp to her face that she thought she would be boring. And then scoffed at Teddi being pregnant. As if someone who is pregnant could not be interesting. I know what you guys are going to say, Teddi is not, in fact, interesting. Ok, so Sutton might have a point, but it wasn’t a very polite one. Especially when it comes to trying to enjoy the company of new friends.
So it’s pretty obvious that Sutton is maybe not going to be a fan favorite. Is her bristling attitude why she was downgraded to a friend of instead of a full time cast member like we were all led to believe? Not sure. Sutton claims it’s because she didn’t show as much of her life as the producers would have liked but I’m not buying it. But with all the drama she’s bringing, it’s understandable that she’s ruffling a lot of feathers in Beverly Hills. Oh but not just Beverly Hills. Sutton has developed quite the reputation among housewives on the east coast too.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is BACK. This week’s episode was so good for so many reasons. Everyone is talking about “friend of” (why is she not a full Housewife?) Sutton Stracke’s lack of manners and Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave’s inability to “be chill.” Don’t forget Denise Richard’s Big D*cked husband Aaron Phypers. Who’d have thought he would turn out to be a cancer-loving, self-healer? Or that he makes all his money by telling the Yolanda Hadid’s of the world that you can cure illness through sound amplification? This is the stuff we need!
This is the stuff you can’t write. It is the magic of having a cast free of Lisa Vanderpump’s Bobby Fischer-ing-manipulations. This is honest Beverly Hills-rich people-crazy talk and I’m here for it all! RHOBH doesn’t need LVP. They also don’t need to make up stories anymore. If this week’s episode proved anything, it’s that the truth is stranger than a fictional storyline. Andy Cohen even agrees!
