Gia Giudice Talks Teresa & Joe In Prison on ET

14-year-old Gia Giudice, the eldest of Teresa and Joe Giudice‘s 4 daughters, is very aware of all the changes taking place in her life. As her mother prepares to return home from a year-long prison stint, Gia’s father Joe prepares to ‘go away’ to federal prison for 41 months. Following that Joe could face deportation as he is not a US Citizen.

“It could be worse,” acknowledges Gia; trying to keep a positive attitude. “My mom doesn’t want me or anyone to get emotional, so I try my best just to keep it all together.”

Unfortunately for Gia the reality goes beyond reality TV, but unfortunately all has been filmed for Real Housewives Of New Jersey and their upcoming spinoff Teresa Checks In which chronicles how the family is coping while Teresa is spending her lock up wiping down tables and emailing (but not reading!).

Teresa Giudice is behind bars, but Joe Giudice is on the outside maintaining the family’s bread and butter: reality TV. With their spinoff, Teresa Checks In, airing this Sunday on Bravo, Joe shared how the family is coping while the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star serves time and also opened up about how unfair Teresa’s consequences are.

In an in-depth interview Joe did with Today’s Tamron Hall, he admits that he “absolutely” feels guilty that Teresa is in prison. “I was to blame,” he says adamantly.

However, in addition blaming himself for Teresa’s incarceration, Joe blames the courts! “I took full responsibility for everything, but they still put her away.”

Report: While Teresa Giudice Is In Prison Joe Giudice Filming Multiple Episode Spinoff For Bravo!

It looks like that fabled Real Housewives Of New Jersey spinoff is becoming more and more of a reality everyday! Last week Andy Cohen insisted he had no knowledge of Joe Giudice filming a special with his daughters about their lives while Teresa Giudice is in prison. Buuuut no one believed him! And it appears Joe is filming much more than a brief update, but a full-on series!

Multiple sources, including Teresa’s attorney, have said that Joe was working with the network. Andy admitted to communicating with Teresa in prison via email. New reports reveal Joe and his daughters, Gia,14, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 9, and Audriana, 5 have been filming a multiple-episode miniseries with Bravo to share their story.

I wonder if that includes Joe’s rendezvous with his mistress? Joe cannot drive, by the way, he had to surrender his license as part of pleading guilty to identity fraud.

Teresa Giudice’s Attorney Denies Prosecutors Are Seizing Her Assets!

Despite a court report stipulating that federal prosecutors were lawfully allowed to seize Teresa Giudice‘s assets to satisfy her restitution debts, Teresa’s out-spoken attorney James L. Leonard Jr. denies that’s that the case!

Teresa owes more than $400,000 in federal restitution as part of her sentence for bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud. A court order showed that prosecutors made a deal with the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star to turn over a 25% portion of her Bravo paychecks, along with 50% of her income from a rental property she owns, in addition to seizing her personal assets, such as her 2005 Maserati and furniture from her NJ mansion (currently in foreclosure and on the market.)

Mr. Leonard explains that contrary to reports, that deal was arranged by Judge Esther Salas and prosecutors as a ‘just in case’ Teresa didn’t make scheduled payments – which she has been.

Teresa Giudice has less than a week before she heads off to prison, and she is wasting no time getting her family into the limelight in her absence! Rumor has it Teresa’s eldest daughter Gia, already a budding popstar, is all set to film her own reality show! But Teresa has even bigger dreams for her family as she aims to turn their scandal into success, ala the Kardashians! Oh heavens…

A source says Gia’s show has been filming for “two months” and will focus on her burgeoning singing career. “It will be all about her group, 3KT. So far, the footage is really fun. Once the pilot is completed, they’ll start shopping it to the networks.”

Gia’s show will hardly feature her Real Housewives Of New Jersey star mom, because Teresa will be incarcerated, of course, but Teresa will make appearances supporting her daughter. “All the girls’ families are in it here and there. But it’s not a show about the grownups; it’s all about the girls. Everyone’s very excited about it,” the source clarifies.

Teresa Giudice is making the most of the time she has left before heading off to prison – and that includes supporting her very good friend NeNe Leakes in Broadway’s Cinderella!

NeNe shared that the defrauding former Real Housewives Of New Jersey star brought her 4 daughters to a performance of the show and they had a great time. “My girl came to Cinderella last nite with her daughters to support me! I love seeing her. She looks so good & she’s a super strong woman,” NeNe gushed on Instagram.

Apparently in the months since Teresa was sentenced she’s become good friends with the Real Housewives Of Atlanta star, who has been a staunch supporter of Teresa for years. <side eye>

Teresa heads to prison on January 5th and she will serve a 15 month sentence for fraud. Although she’s eschewed most media and has refrained from talking about her situation, opting instead to spend time with family and friends, sources say Teresa is still working behind the scenes to salvage what she can from her business ventures and Fabulicious empire.
