If you didn’t catch the reboot of Temptation Island, stop what you are doing right now and binge watch the newest season ASAP. The drama was unreal! The basic premise of the show is four couples go to “Temptation Island” and separate for several weeks to see if they make a connection with any of the singles waiting in the wings.
One of the couples on the show, Evan Smith and Kaci Campbell, came into the experience over confident. They had been on and off for ten years, and Kaci had been pushing Evan to propose. So, it only makes sense to test your relationship on Temptation Island! Kaci kept her journey on the island light and fun, while Evan immediately fell for another woman, Morgan Lolar. Needless to say, things did not end well.
Another day, another VIP host claiming Lindsay Lohan is not the greatest person to work for. Sara Tariq was the first to come forward when she dished that Lindsay can be really strict and mean to her employees. Now Kailah Casillas, Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club’s newest cast member, has come forward to express her disappointment in working for La Lohan.
Ok, what has Lindsay done that is so terrible to her employees? The worst I’ve seen so far is Lindsay going rogue and shooting her staff of VIP hosts with a champagne gun as she screamed, “Feels like Putin!” The best must be yet to come. So what does Kailah have to say about working for Lindsay?
On this week’s episode of Teen Mom OG, in part two of the reunion, hosts Dr. Drew Pinsky and Nessa Diab, sit down with the OG’s as well as their significant others and families. This episode we get a little more in depth as we finally get to hear the families perspective on this season. We even get more insight on Cory Wharton’s thoughts on Cheyenne Floyd and a possible relationship. She admitted in part one, she would be ready to have a relationship with Cory, but she knows he is not interested ready (for anything other than sex).
Andrew Glennon looks awkward and nervous when he asked about his thoughts on Amber Portwood’s thoughts of suicide. He shares that it is scary, but he needs to do more research and talk and listen to Amber to help her through her depression. When talking about being a new father, he begins to cry thinking about how his son makes him happy. Gary Shirley and Kristina Shirley join the stage to discuss co-parenting.
They claim co-parenting is going well and Leah is doing fine, but it seemed during the season (and every season) that they wish Amber would do a little more. Kristina goes into detail on her miscarriage and gets emotional while speaking about it. Amber also tears up (in an attempt to steal the attention back) when she sees how upset Kristina is and her own miscarriage. Dr. Drew commends them both for sharing their stories about losing children for others that may need to hear it.
On this week’s episode of Teen Mom OG, we look back at the journey the five moms went through this season. The cast sat down with hosts Dr. Drew Pinsky and Nessa Diab, to chat. They discussed everything from mental health, children and divorces. This season, Amber Portwood even threatened to leave the show. As much as Amber may need a break, selfishly I don’t want to deal with getting to know a new mom. Let’s face it, new moms, Cheyenne Floyd and Bristol Palin, were train wrecks, each in their very own annoying way.
Maci Bookout got emotional when asked about memorable parts from the season. She can’t look at anyone without seeing hurt, especially with all of the mom shaming online. She wishes the other moms could see themselves the way she sees them. This is clearly a reference to Amber, who has been plagued with depression and recently struggled with comments on social media about her parenting skills. The other moms come to the defense of Amber and try to uplift her spirits as she breaks down. I do feel for Amber, it is obvious she has many issues. But at the same time, you either have to make the choice to get off social media or leave the show. As much as I hate to see her go (she is good TV), it’s clear to me she isn’t emotionally strong enough to handle it.
On this week’s episode of Teen Mom OG, Maci Bookout has an emotional meeting with Ryan Edwards’ parents. Ryan will be returning from rehab soon. Everyone wants to get on one accord before he arrives home. Hopefully, this team approach will last once Ryan returns home. Unfortunately, Ryan’s wife, Mackenzie Edwards was not at the meeting. This was odd because Maci’s husband, Taylor McKinney had a seat at the table. It’s no secret that she and Maci have butt heads in the past. Was she not invited as a courtesy to Maci? Or could there be trouble in paradise? According to recent news, Ryan was caught on the dating app Tinder, just weeks after returning from rehab. Let’s hope he doesn’t fall off the sobriety wagon as quickly as he did with being faithful to his wife.
At the meeting, both parties discuss what they can do to move forward in a positive way when Ryan gets home. His parents reveal that he feels like he is Bentley’s uncle, rather than his father. This is largely due to Ryan’s parents having to take the lead in co-parenting Bentley on their side of the family. His mom feels like he still blames her for stepping up. His father, who is usually stoic, cries about the rift he and his son once had. He remembers all of the harsh things he had to say to him, to render some tough love.
They thought they were over their exes. They thought they were ready to find love, but they thought wrong. The singles believed that they were on a different dating show, but this is Ex on the Beach Season 2.
What can viewers expect from this second round? The show promises “hotter hookups, more exes than ever, and more scandalous secrets.” Episode One starts off with a masquerade party, but it’s not your average themed party. Soon enough, they will have to unmask the truth about their relationship histories… whether they like it or not.
Romeo returns as the host, prompting Big Brother alum Jozea Flores to remark, “When you see Romeo, you know it ain’t about no love. It’s Ex on the mother f*cking Beach.”That’s right. Whenever Romeo shows up, expect him to stir the pot with some twist in the game.
This is not going to sit well with ex-Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham. She admits, “I’m kind of freaking out because I thought I was on a dating show to date like future people. F*ck my exes.”
One by one, we meet each of the “singles” and there are some immediate sparks between a lot of the cast members. There’s The Bachelorette villain Chad Johnson. Will he show everyone his softer side? Or will be the same deli meat-obsessed argumentative brute that Bachelor fans are used to seeing? He is immediately drawn to Big Brother winner Morgan Willett and The Challenge participant Nicole Ramos.
Initially, everyone is having a good time…except for Farrah. Right from the jump, Farrah rubs almost every cast member the wrong way and this is before any of her exes show up on the beach. Fire Island cast member Cheyenne Parker is not afraid to stand up and call her out on her diva antics.
And of course, this is just the initial cast. In the first episode alone, three exes arrive and Romeo promises the arrival of an additional single, who cannot be voted out of the house.
Everyone talks a big game about “being over” their ex, but is that really the case? Who is being truthful about their feelings? Are they looking for closure? Do they want to rekindle? Will brand new relationships form? Or are they just there to argue? Buckle up, Ex on the Beach new season Tonight, December 20 at 8/7c only on MTV and it’s going to be one wild ride, starting with its first episode!
The popular U.K. show Ex on the Beach made its United States debut in April 2018. It was everything I didn’t know I needed in a reality TV show. I got to see some of my favorite people from other reality TV shows under one roof. The contestants created endless drama. There were countless twists and turns. And to top it off everyone looks great in bathing suits.
Thankfully, Ex on the Beach will return for Season 2 a month from now. Just like the first season, this season’s cast members bring plenty of drama to the beach.
