Danielle Staub has finally given up her dreams of being a full-time cast member on Real Housewives of New Jersey. After doing all the dirty work as a part-time cast member for three seasons, she announced her “retirement” from the series, which was pretty silly considering that she had zero friends in the cast. Obviously, she wasn’t going to film again, but that “choice” was hardly her own.
However, the show did resort to bringing in Danielle when the actual cast members weren’t generating enough drama, which seemingly meant that the door was always open for a Danielle Staub comeback, and by that I mean, an overly exploited and underpaid appearance or two. Welp, that ship has sailed. Danielle went in on Real Housewives executive producer Andy Cohen, calling out his alleged party habits in addition to claiming that Andy used her to become friends with Kelly Ripa.
After giving the
actual other cast members storylines for three years in a row without being full-time on Real Housewives of New Jersey, Danielle Staub walked away. She waxed poetic about how it was truly the end, but no one really believed that, or at least I didn’t. I assumed she could be very easily swayed if they asked her to stir up drama for the right price.
However, since she recently went in on Andy Cohen, that is never going to happen. She called out his alleged partying habits, wondering how his parents and son feel about his supposed recreational activities. Now, she’s claiming he used her for a famous friend, his now-BFF Kelly Ripa.
For anyone hoping that Danielle Staub would return to Real Housewives of New Jersey to wreak havoc, that ship has sailed. Why do I say that?
Danielle recently dedicated an entire podcast episode to trashing Andy Cohen, the executive producer of the show, and the spokesperson for the Bravo network. She put the nail in her own coffin with this one.
By now, everyone has heard about Vanderpump Rules firing four cast members for racist behaviors. Brett Caprioni and Max Boyens had only been on the show for one season, where they subjected us all to a love triangle that no one cared about. However, Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were original cast members. We all know Stassi was favored by the editors. Who will they show making comments on everyone else’s storylines when/if the show returns?
The show normally films in the summers, but, because of the coronavirus, they are not filming. But, will they ever film again? There are plenty of vocal people who don’t want the show to come back. Others just want specific people to get fired along with the rest of them. And, then there’s just the cold, hard truth that the show just is not as good as it used to be. Everyone is wifed up and the storylines just fall flat. Not to mention that there are just way too many cast members to keep track of.
“I haven’t even seen tonight’s episode and I’m already angry about it.” That was the tweet that popped up on my timeline before I sat down to watch the latest Below Deck Mediterranean. Or something like that. After having now sat through a grueling 75 minutes, I can confirm that viewer’s harbinger of things to come was accurate. Remember when this season was supposed to be about girl power? Women supporting women? How cool it is to have the first all-female leadership team in franchise history? Yeah, that’s officially a pipe dream.
Tonight was the episode every Below Deck Med fan has been waiting all season to see. We knew going into the premiere that Hannah Ferrier didn’t make it through the charter season. That she left sometime in the middle of filming. Did she quit? Was she fired? All fans knew was that the chief stew was now glowing and pregnant. And that she’d given up her career in yachting (and on Bravo) to give a life on land a try with her boyfriend and daughter-to-be.
Things are really heating up on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. While the ladies are busy on a luxurious vacation in Rome, it’s been anything but relaxing.
So far, all they have done is take swipe after swipe at Denise Richards. They finally moved on from the whole “Denise is mom-shaming me for not wanting to talk about threesomes in front of her own kids”. Now the cast is on to whether or not Brandi Glanville is telling the truth about them hooking up.
Kyle Richards is on my sh*t list. She has been for a few seasons now. Ok, if I’m being totally honest, I have never cared for Kyle. Her desire to climb to the top of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills foodchain has always rubbed me the wrong way. But after chasing out Lisa Vanderpump, she has for the most part, gotten her way.
So it’s no surprise that Kyle has changed targets this season. Her latest prey is Denise Richards and who she happens to be sleeping with, mainly, Brandi Glanville. The alleged affair between Brandi and Denise is the only real storyline happening on RHOBH. And Kyle is happy to be the ringleader after suddenly siding with Brandi about the whole story.
Leah McSweeney is a lot of things. New cast member on Real Housewives of New York. Drunken mess. Ramona Singer frenemy. Fan favorite. It’s true, fans love Leah. She’s a breath of fresh air on what I would call a vintage franchise. Leah has even called for more diversity amongst the cast, something we haven’t seen since Jules Wainstein in season 8.
But Leah isn’t without controversy. She has a past of controversial statements. She wrote a piece about “toxic femininity”. And according to Ramona, she has a serious drinking problem. That might have something to do with Leah claiming Ramona poops during sex in a now-infamous Cameo. But either way, Leah is going there and Ramona, for once, is powerless to stop her.
