Yolanda Foster Chronic Lyme Disease

Yolanda Foster Stand4Lyme Award

Yolanda Foster has been honored with an award for her advocacy in finding a Lyme Disease cure. Again. Cause hashtags save lives! And so do sick-selfies for 52 zillion treatments in foreign countries which most people have no access to!

Apparently, the powers that be at various Lyme Disease organizations did not tune in very closely to this season of Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, during which Yolanda‘s Lyme and various co-infections, treatments, and non-cures were put through the ringer and labeled Munchausen because they didn’t understand the many confusing facets of her journey. Or perhaps her perseverance through the chronic questioning is the very thing that makes her such valiant advocate for Lyme?

Yolanda Foster book deal

Despite her crumbling marriage and her questioning co-stars, there’s no doubt in my mind that Yolanda Foster enjoyed every second of attention she got this season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Yolanda live-tweeted during the reunion (because, attention), thanking Eileen Davidson for being a “good friend” and shading her doubting co-stars for not visiting her when she “dropped off the planet” because of Lyme disease.

Yolanda Foster book deal

It’s official. Yolanda Foster has secured a book deal to share her journey with the masses. And, believe it or not, there are more sick selfies to be seen.

“I just signed a deal,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star announced on the WWHL After Show. “So, I am, right now, trying to find a co-writer to do it with me. And I’ll be focused on that for the next six months. I’m excited because I have so much to share. It’s been such a long journey.” #UNDERSTATEMENT

Yolanda Foster

Last year, Yolanda Foster Hadid barely attended the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills reunion due to Lyme Disease. This year she is hoping and praying that her 60% improved brain function holds out so she can fully be present – not that she has anything to prove! “I’m praying my brain will be good,” says a hopeful Yolanda.

Above: Yolanda at last year’s reunion.

“Last year I showed up in a robe. I don’t even know how I got my body there,” reveals Yolanda, forgetting that we saw her sitting on stage fully functioning with hair, makeup, and designer wardrobe. Or perhaps I missed the portion of the reunion where Yolanda was wheeled out in her hospital bed?

Yolanda Foster

Yolanda Foster went rogue with her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills blog last week (and possibly got in trouble, as it was later wiped out, severely edited, and posted on Bravo), but she turned her blog over to Bravo this week. As per usual, it is 90% journey and 10% episode.

Yolanda‘s blog, which reads like her self-nomination for sainthood, begins, “As I watch the season unfold and observe myself going back six months in time, I feel so much gratitude for the improvement I have made and still hopeful for a full recovery.” Which she has tentatively scheduled on the day after her divorce from David “My Alimony Foster is settled.

Yolanda Foster appears on Dr. Oz

Today Yolanda Foster appeared on Dr. Oz to speak out “for the first time” on her “journey” living with Chronic Neurological Lyme Disease. Yolanda opened up about the impact of doubt, how her marriage and children have been affected, why she continues to do Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills and provides more insight into her medical history and daily life living with chronic illness.  She also reveals previous struggles with Epstein-Barr and Hepatitis B.

Speaking out for the first time? Dr. Oz has instagram, I presume? And access to Bravo? Dr. Oz promises this is a “side of Yolanda” we’ve never seen before. (It’s not.) Is multiple personalities a co-infection of Lyme?

“It’s been a long four years,” admits Yolanda through tears. “I keep myself motivated for my children, who I need to cure before they go on with their adult lives. It’s just gotta get done, and if it’s not me, then who’s gonna do it?” Doctors

Yolanda Foster on Dr. Oz

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster and Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans will appear on Dr. Oz and The Doctors, respectively, this week to talk about their health problems.

Yolanda is on Dr. Oz to speak out about her globe trotting battle against Lyme disease. On the preview clip, she dabs at tears and says there were many days she didn’t want to live anymore and begins to address the ignorant people who insinuate that she’s “crazy in the head.”

Lisa Vanderpump

Hmmm… is it me or does Lisa Vanderpump seem to be backpedaling a bit? After openly calling out Yolanda Foster for discrepancies, Lisa’s blog seems to treat the Lyme-afflicted Yolanda with kid gloves. Let’s hope that treatment is also holistic, and organic, and from Whole Foods

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star begins by reacting to Lisa Rinna and Kathryn Edwards‘ discussion about Kim Richards‘ sobriety. Lisa reminds us that although Lipsa’s frustration was justified, her “hands weren’t clean either.”

“Bitter words were voiced against Kim from Rinna calling her a rabid dog, which is hard to compute. It’s a year later, Kim has made great headway…” insists Lisa. “Kyle’s loyalty to her sister will supersede any wish to be involved in negativity. That is why she left the table and, as a friend, I dutifully followed.” Maybe Lipsa was having difficulty separating Kim’s behaviors from Kingsley’s
