Jesse Palmer Gives His Verdict on Golden Bachelorette and Golden Paradise

Following the success of The Golden Bachelor, host Jesse Palmer would like to see ABC move ahead with a Golden Bachelorette. Not only would it give him another paycheck, but he’d really like to see one of Gerry Turner’s exes get another shot at love.

“I really hope we do it,” Jesse said in an interview with ET. “I just love the group of women on Gerry’s season … There’s a number that would be phenomenal Golden Bachelorettes, and that are very deserving of that opportunity.”

“It’d be pretty compelling, actually, to watch,” he added. “I’m on the edge of my seat just like everybody else waiting to find out if this is something that’s going to happen or not.”

Who should be the Golden Bachelorette?

While fans of The Golden Bachelor would love to see the show continue with a Golden Bachelorette, who should take on the role? Many of Gerry’s exes have expressed interest in stepping into Cinderella’s glass slippers. But Bachelor Nation can’t seem to agree on who they would like to see get the job.

Some fans have suggested a double season as Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey did on Season 19 of The Bachelorette, giving two women another chance at love. Jesse is in favor of either scenario.

For his part, Jesse has a whole new vision for The Golden Bachelorette. He wants to see, “a mansion full of 70-something-year-old guys just trying to fix everything around the mansion all day … Snoring and falling asleep on the couch during the day.”

“Golden Paradise in a retirement home in Naples, Florida, I think sounds incredible,” he added.

While we wait to see whether the Golden Bachelorette becomes reality, we can look forward to the two-hour season finale of The Golden Bachelor. On November 30, Gerry will make his choice between Leslie and Theresa (I’m predicting Theresa). One will be heartbroken, while the other will be headed for the Early Bird Special with the former restauranteur.

“He’s in love with two women,” Jesse reminds us. “Gerry showed up wanting to find someone he could spend his golden years with, and I think he found that … It will be an emotional rollercoaster … This is going to be a finale that Bachelor Nation has never seen before … one they’re absolutely not going to want to miss.”

The Golden Bachelor Season Finale airs November 30 at 8/7c on ABC.
