90 Day Fiancé Alum Apologizes for False Cancer Claim and Fundraiser

Another day, another cancer scam. Mary Denucciõ from 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way just came clean about starting a fundraiser for treating colon cancer that she never had. Apparently, the whole thing was just a miscommunication between her with her doctor. So, she’s asking fans for forgiveness and grace.

Colon cancer confusion

Page Six reported all of the details about the 90 Day Fiancé alum’s bizarre health claims. Mary and her husband, Brandan Denucciõ, both shared links to a fundraiser asking for money to help remove Mary’s “colon cancer.” In emotional social media posts, they both expressed a sense of desperation and urgency to help Mary fund the procedure.

“Please don’t judge me [sic] I don’t want to die,” Mary wrote. “I want to spend my whole life with my daughter.”

Fans questioned the authenticity of the diagnosis, which led Mary to confess that she was never actually diagnosed with cancer. She shared a lengthy apology on Instagram, where she clarified that she just has a weird combination of hemorrhoids and UTIs. Somehow, she got that confused with cancer.

“When the doctor told me I have a colon issue I thought that means I have cancer,” Mary explained.

Mary’s backtracking big time

According to Mary, she “panicked and got anxiety” after talking to her doctor. Supposedly, starting a fundraising page was the solution to her anxiety. Now she just has a severe case of putting her foot in her mouth.

Mary went on to explain the symptoms that prompted her to seek medical assistance in the first place. According to her, she’s dealt with abdominal problems since high school. More recently, she’s been dealing with persistent pain, weakness, and vomiting.

“The doctor says my liver is inflamed and I have blood infection, UTI and hemorrhoids. We are still waiting for another laboratory test for my colon,” Mary continued.

Of course, 90 Day Fiancé fans have been pretty harsh in their reaction to Mary’s phony fundraiser. Her comments on Instagram have been flooded with criticism. In her apology post on social media, she pleaded with fans to go easy on her.

Mary wrote, “It’s my fault and I’m very sorry about it. But please stop harassing me and wishing me to die. I’m just a human.”
