Longtime fans of The Traitors will likely remember Wilfred Webster. In the first season of the show’s UK version, Wilfred made history by being one of the show’s first traitors, as well as the season’s runner-up.
But life isn’t always sunshine and lollipops for former reality TV stars (in fact, usually, it’s quite the opposite). Despite all the highs that Wilfred has experienced over the years, he had quite the scare recently.
Wilfred’s reflects on his life and safety post-robbery
In an Instagram post, Wilfred detailed his experience with a robber. He wrote that, after his wife left for work, “The next thing I see my bedroom door open and I thought it was my wife and turns out it’s some low life piece of shit burgling my house in a balaclava!” After he jumped off the bed, the intruder “ran downstairs and out the back of the house via a window.”
As it turned out, there were two perpetrators. Wilfred further wrote, “I ran out of the front door and stood in the garden in shock and the pair of melts walked around the corner and I spotted them. One of them shouted ‘stab him’ and then ran at me with a big knife. Quickly I ran back into my house and shut the door and phoned the police.”
Wilfred lamented the fact that he didn’t charge his Ring doorbell but was grateful to his neighbors who managed to get footage for police to identify the getaway car. Wilfred reflected, “I’ve been through a lot in my life but I have never felt so scared. My house is my safe space and to have someone break in and take away that safety is horrible. I’m even posting this picture using a VPN out of fear.” He encouraged fans to do what they could to keep their homes safe.
