Jasmine Ellis Cooper isn’t everybody’s favorite person during Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard Season 2. The last episode showed her arguing with co-star Bria Fleming over having guests in the house — specifically Mariah Torres.
If you need a refresher, the latter was kicked out of their shared house during Season 1 after a physical altercation with Bria. Now that they’re back for another batch of episodes, Jasmine wanted to see how her castmates would feel about having her back. She also posed the idea of Phil Brooks (the man who used the toilet in Nick Arrington’s bathroom and refused to flush it) returning for a day.
During their argument, Bria said she was uncomfortable with Mariah setting foot in their house. Jasmine was perplexed by her statement and began breaking down after things escalated. When she appeared on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, the mother of one shared her thoughts on the situation.
Was Bria being hypocritical? Jasmine believes so…
Mariah wasn’t the only cast member who made people uncomfortable last year. Phil, whom Bria would like to visit the house, also made Preston Mitchum, Amir Lancaster, Alex Tyree, and Nick uncomfortable.
So, is she being hypocritical here?
“Absolutely,” Jasmine said. “I feel like Phil stirred the pot. So, at the end of the day, I brought up a conversation about guests. So, yes, it was hypocritical.”
At the end of this week’s SHMV episode, Jasmine was crying, saying, “…I needed y’all this summer. [I] just needed fun and support — I’m going through a lot right now.”
During her confessionals, she told producers that she felt isolated from others in the group, especially her best friend, Jordan Emanuel. However, based on the previews for coming episodes and the girls’ recent night out, it looks like they all get to a better place.
Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard continues on Sundays at 9/8c.
