It’s never been easy to be a Millennial. This generation has lived through two recessions, a terrorist attack, and a worldwide pandemic. We have also learned we won’t be given the American Dream like our parents. Currently, Millennials (and everyone else) are living in the scariest financial future of any generation since the Great Depression. Yet Paige DeSorbo, however, unknowingly inspires many of her peers. For me and many other Summer House fans, she has become our Bravo queen.
Paige DeSorbo is a certified badass
Is there nothing that this Bravoleb can’t do? She’s come a long way from her Limited Too catalog model days. She was quiet for about a day when she first entered the Summer House home. But she isn’t a shrinking violet and knows how to stand up for herself. To be honest, she is the kind of woman I surround myself with. One who is driven, educated, and above all, kind.
As Millennials, we all know that growing up in the 2000s was rough if you were a girl. There was so much noise in our teenage ears, that it’s a wonder any of us turned out okay. But Paige has done a spectacular job at tuning that rubbish out, showing we can be more than what we were told. She is proud of every achievement and often seems to encourage viewers to do better, too.
Summer House’s Paige DeSorbo has become an author
Paige and her best friend, Hannah Berner, are finally authors. In April, their book How to Giggle: A Guide to Taking Life Less Seriously will be released to the masses. The book will be sprinkled with antidotes and inside jokes that will make you feel like you’re chatting with your best friend. It’s about time Paige has a product to push. Her co-stars have come out with drinks and swimsuits, so it will be nice to hear more from Paige’s perspective.
Paige DeSorbo didn’t let societal pressure rule her life, as proven by her breakup from Craig Conover
While I am never happy to hear about somebody breaking up after three years of dating, Paige handled her break-up with grace. Even though we were not privy to every detail of her time with Craig Conover, both Summer House and Southern Charm painted a picture for viewers. It became clear that Craig wanted a Stepford wife who could breed bees, work in the garden, and be by his side in his Charleston home. But that isn’t the case with Paige. And to be honest, it’s not the case with many Millennials. Many are marrying later in life and choosing to stay single altogether. Paige isn’t afraid to share her feelings regarding the topic, which has been an inspiration. She’s even noted she was “proud” about her break up with Craig.
She told the New York Times, “I’m proud of myself for making a tough decision even though the public was like, ‘You’re wrong, you’ll never find another person again. I am really thankful for the women that supported me and saw what I was going through.” According to Paige, her breakup wasn’t bad but needed. She shared, “It wasn’t a bad thing. I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real-time and what you want for your future.”
Paige DeSorbo is witty and a lot of fun as part of the Giggly Squad
Paige’s wit and sarcasm are second to none. She brings levity to the house thanks to her dry sense of humor. The fact that she never holds back is part of her charm. She had me as a loyal fan when she shared her icks, noting “When men breathe.” But perhaps her most prominent positive trait is that she is a girl’s girl through and through. She is never too busy to talk things over with Amanda Batula or Ciara Miller and will go to the ends of the earth to help them. Needless to say, I’d want Paige in my circle of friends. So stay true to you, P. Bravo needs more women like you!
Summer House is available to stream on Peacock.
