Sabrina Carpenter’s Fortnite Skin Draws Flak From Fans

Fortnite fans were not too happy about the new Sabrina Carpenter skin, which immediately drew flak on X (formerly Twitter). Her dominance in the international music sphere landed her in the gaming world. However, users did not seem thrilled about the recent takeover, with some claiming she might have “ruined” it.

The new skin resembles Carpenter, wearing one of her signature bedazzling outfits. It allows players to roam around the game’s universe looking like the superstar after downloading the “avatar.” Nevertheless, the criticism did not hold back positive comments, with supporters disagreeing with the backlash and asserting that she “saved” the game.

Sabrina Carpenter’s Fortnite skin receives negative reaction from fans

There has been a Sabrina Carpenter uprising on Fortnite with the new skin, and the fans seemed quite upset over the latest update. The video game introduced two skins resembling the Grammy winner, wearing outfits that might be familiar to concert-goers.

One showed the avatar wearing the singer’s iconic yellow babydoll dress, while the other had a sparkly skirt with a corset-style halter neck top. On top of that, the avatar’s hair appeared to be a carbon copy of the singer’s blonde locks, with multiple other accurate details.

However, Carpenter’s Fortnite skin didn’t sit well with gamers, with several users claiming she “ruined” it. One comment slammed the game and developers for making “a skin nobody is going to buy while more people contradicted the claim, writing, “Actually, everyone bought it.”

Another X user highlighted the avatars in the post, noting that the “video has tons of people with the skin.” The critical remarks continued as multiple users professed they didn’t even know who she was and more asserted the game’s popularity faded long before that.

In defiance of the disapproval, countless others praised Sabrina Carpenter’s Fortnite skin for saving and improving the game. One user argued that she “improved” the game, calling it “peak Fortnite.” A couple of other commenters seemingly corrected the post by writing “*saved.” Another response read, “Sabrina Carpenter saved Fortnite*” A handful of other users pointed out that “most of the people who are using that skin are men.”
