Michelle Obama was captured flashing her expensive wedding rings amidst her divorce rumors with Barack Obama. In photos by Backgrid US, the former First Lady appeared with her diamond wedding bands in Los Angeles. She was photographed alongside her brother Craig Robinson while paying a visit to the Academy headquarters.
Obama looked stunning in a olive green sweater, color-coded cardigan, and grey cargo pants carrying a tote bag worth $3,700. Additionally, her round earrings and braided hair tied in a low ponytail perfectly complemented the look. Obama’s wedding ring was the central attention of the pictures, with many seeing it as her way to silence the divorce rumors.
Michelle and Barack Obama’s divorce rumors sparked following the former’s absence from numerous important events. The 61-year-old did not appear alongside her husband at former President Jimmy Carter’s funeral and Donald Trump’s inauguration in January.
However, Michelle shut down the rumors on Sophia Bush’s Work in Progress Podcast. She stated that her recent absences were just a choice, as she has full control of her calendar. Michelle also mentioned, “Now I can’t blame my decisions and indecisions on anyone other than me.”
She further added that she could have made many such decisions years back, but did not give herself the “freedom”. Speaking about the divorce rumors, Michelle said, “I think we struggle with disappointing people. This year, people couldn’t even fathom that I was making a choice for myself. They had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing.” She cleared that her staying from the limelight was just “a grown woman just making a set of decisions.”
Aside from Michelle, Barack Obama seemingly shut the divorce reports by posting a throwback picture with his wife on Easter’s Day.
