Doechii has recently given a reaction to her outburst about the lack of “umbrellas” at the Met Gala 2025. The “DENIAL IS A RIVER” rapper landed in controversy after she was caught getting frustrated at her team right before arriving at the Met red carpet from The Mark Hotel. The situation occurred as the artist’s team members could not properly hide her outfit from the cameras. The rapper-singer posted a TikTok video reacting to the entire controversy.

Doechii has finally responded to the “umbrellas” controversy at the Met Gala 2025. The “Anxiety” rapper took to TikTok to share a video where she tried to tackle the situation with an explanation and a bit of humor. The video showed the artist making some awkward and funny gestures. She could be seen wearing a simple T-shirt and a bandana on her head. In the meantime, the text that popped up on the clip humorously read, “God forbid a girl needs more umbrellas.”

Doechii expressed her thoughts regarding the controversy and the entire experience of the Met Gala 2025 in the caption of the TikTok video. The rapper-singer wrote, “All jokes aside this was such an overstimulating night.” The artist continued, “But I wouldn’t trade it for the world!” She further penned, “This was the night we all dreamed of and my team killed it (umbrellas aside).”

On May 5, Doechii stepped on the red carpet, making her debut at the Met Gala 2025, donning an all Louis Vuitton ensemble. Through her outfit, the rapper paid a tribute to the iconic fashion journalist and stylist, André Leon Talley. Her ensemble featured a custom-made LV tuxedo jacket. It had the signature logo of the French luxury fashion house embellished all over. The artist paired the jacket with a matching pair of checkered shorts. Additionally, she sported a satin tie in a rich tone of mahogany.
