The Valley Season 2 Reunion: What To Expect

The Valley is the series I had no idea I needed in my life. The show works perfectly as the cast is actually a group of friends who have their own interpersonal issues that are not made up for reality TV. Each week, I look forward to catching up with the gang. And now that fans know that the reunion just taped, there are some questions that we desperately need answering. So here is everything we can expect from the upcoming reunion.

Andy Cohen says The Valley reunion was dark for Season 2

Season 2 of The Valley features Jesse Lally and Michelle Saniei at the forefront of the storyline. Their divorce has become extremely messy. In the most recent episode, Jesse tried to insinuate that Michelle was a high-end escort. Let’s just say there is no love lost between these two. Then you have Jax Taylor rage-texting Brittany Cartwright from rehab. You honestly couldn’t make this stuff up. We know, thanks to The U.S. Sun, that the reunion had to tape a month early. The cast sat down on May 2, weeks ahead of schedule, and only after the third episode aired. An insider noted, “Kristen and Nia are due a week apart in early June. But producers want to wrap everything up filming-wise in early May just in case either of them welcomes their babies early.”

Now, Andy Cohen is speaking out about how the reunion went. And evidently, it is one for the record books. While on his SiriusXM show, Andy Cohen Live, he told listeners, “There was some dark stuff.” The Bravo kingpin then shared a conversation with Janet Caperna. He said, “Janet was like, ‘I saw you [went] out to dinner with the Summer House guys after that reunion. Like, are you like going out to dinner with this group after the reunion?’ [I was] like, ‘No.’”

Why did Michelle Saniei get the last chair at The Valley reunion?

When The Valley seating chart dropped, viewers were stunned to see that Michelle was designated to the end of the couch. But according to the host, “It means nothing. It just means she was in the last chair. I mean, there’s only so many chairs.” But even with an exclamation, fans found the position odd. She and Jesse have been at one another’s throats the entire season. And there must be a lot of information to break down. Honestly, these two could have a whole reunion to themselves.

As a viewer myself, I don’t understand how Nina Booko, Danny Booko, Janet, Jason Caperna, Zack Wickham, and Jasmine Goode were all put in front of her. Unless she has a restraining order against Jesse, where he needs to stand 100 yards away, the decision doesn’t make any sense. Hell, I’ve forgotten that Jasmine and Danny were even on the show. However, I am more than confident that Michelle will make her voice heard. There is no way that she would allow Jesse to get all the attention and not have a clapback or two. But for Andy to say there are only so many chairs to go around seems like a cop-out.

Jax Taylor will appear at the Valley Season 2 reunion

Even though Jax is currently giving video updates from rehab, he will be in person for the Season 2 reunion. Viewers aren’t enthralled with his update that was given at the end of the latest episode, especially after texting like a maniac. But seeing Jax back in the physical hot seat will be interesting. Andy noted, “I will say, Jax’s face has come back … I was like, oh, your face looks healthier because he looked so tweaked out … during the season.”

But many viewers are wrestling with the idea of whether a character like Jax is even needed on The Valley. In the premiere episode, Brittany revealed that she was scared of Jax after his anger got the best of him. Brittany shared, “He flipped the coffee table, and it, like, hit my knee. It turned black immediately, and I’m like, ‘Oh my God! Oh my God!’ I’m, like, screaming, crying. It was terrifying. [He was saying], ‘You’re cheating on me! You’re cheating on me! You’re still talking to him.’” Undoubtedly, Jax will be prepared for the reunion, and viewers honestly can’t wait.

The Valley is available to stream on Peacock and Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
