The 61-year-old author revealed the couple’s hilarious bedtime struggles. Michelle, who prefers to go to bed early, shared about her “embarrassing” love of bedtime that ends up making her “giddy.” She stressed the importance of sleeping temperature at her age and how her body temperature differs at times. She stated how sometimes she feels freezing in bed while other times “it’s like, ‘Oh my God, take my skin off.”
Michelle Obama further mentioned how it leads to a struggle with the former president, who is always cold, while she asks him not to touch the thermostat. The attorney hilariously continued that sometimes she wakes up hot, and she would ask her husband if he touched the thermostat. She recalled asking him, “Did you touch the thermostat?”
The “IMO” podcast co-host also shared how Barack Obama is “afraid” of the thermostat while he assures her he “did not.” Michelle added that she likes cool sheets and a 68-degree bedroom. As such, she advises her husband to put on socks if he is freezing at night. She also revealed the couple made “a deal” in the course of their marriage. Moreover, the former first lady shared how she can tease her partner, but he cannot do the same with her.
