The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives used to be focused on a loving, supportive group of friends. But now, it seems as if none of them can stand each other anymore. One major feud is between Taylor Frankie Paul and Demi Engemann. Again, in the first season, they were thick as thieves. But in the newly-released Season 2, this all changed.
Despite Taylor founding the MomTok that made them famous, Demi thought her status was more significant. She plotted to get Taylor shunned from the friend group, on a mission to make herself the leader of the group. Needless to say, some feel Demi has shown herself to be the true villain of Season 2. But, according to fellow cast members, the season didn’t even showcase all of her antics. There was one surprise she supposedly did, and it involved Dakota Mortensen.
Did Demi Engemann plan to “make up” an affair with Dakota Mortensen on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives?
Mormon Wives stars Jessi Ngatikaura and Mikayla Matthews were both guests on a recent episode of The Viall Files. It was during this segment that the two made quite the claim about Demi’s storyline goals for Season 2.
“Demi wanted to have a huge finale for season 1 and so she was like, ‘We can make up this whole thing that I have an affair with Dakota. We were like, ‘Oh, that’s a weird thing to say,” Mikayla shared in the May 20 episode.
For those unaware, Dakota is Taylor’s ex boyfriend, whom she shares a child with. If this is true, not only would that be a crazy level of petty, but it would also be shocking considering that Demi is married to her husband Bret Engemann.
Jessi backed Mikayla up on this accusation, adding that Demi was apparently very serious about setting up the scandal.
“It wasn’t like, ‘Hey, guys, this could be funny.’ It was like, ‘We could meet in a car and then they could catch us.”
Demi hasn’t addressed her co-stars’ comments just yet.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is available to stream on Hulu.
