Now, for two seasons, fans of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives have been led to believe that Taylor Frankie Paul was the leader of MomTok. But before Tay, there was another OG leader: Kenna Gibbons. She was there for it all, including the swinging scandal. So why wasn’t she cast on the series? Here’s what we know.
Kenna Gibbons was a MomTok founder, but doesn’t appear on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives
Kenna looks like any other MomTok influencer. She is blonde and Mormon and loves to share her life on social media. So it seems odd that no one has really heard of her. Kenna and Taylor were extremely close during the birth of MomTok. But they had a severe falling out during the swinging scandal after Taylor declared, “everybody was hooking up with everybody.” Kenna took to her TikTok to share her side of the story. The former MomToker was married to Brayden Rowley, who was the man who “went too far” with Taylor.
The affair led to Kenna and Taylor’s divorce. But before those ugly days, Taylor and Kenna shared a lot of content and were friends. After the scandal, Kenna revealed, “We did switch partners and had soft-swinging happen.” She reportedly felt uncomfortable with Brayden and Taylor’s relationship outside the group. Clearly, there is bad blood between the two women. Kenna chose not to participate in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. The former MomTok star took a hiatus from social media but returned months later with a new fiancé, Hunter Stutz. For now, she has no plans to star in the Hulu show, but plans can always change.
