McElhenney, who co-owns the Wrexham A.F.C. soccer team with Reynolds, told Variety that he and his spouse are lending all possible love and support to their friends as the highly publicised legal battle develops.
McElhenney shared how close he had gotten to Reynolds, which he demonstrated by showing his phone where the duo exchanged jokes while planning for the future of their team. Given their deep bond, it was only right for McElhenney and Oslon to stay connected with their friends and navigate this time together. He also hinted at showing as much support as he can for the star couple dealing with a “difficult and challenging” period in their lives. McElhenney told Variety, “We both are just trying to offer our support in any way that we can that doesn’t just simply add oxygen to the fire.”
Meanwhile, Lively proved that their friendship isn’t just one way. On Wednesday, she took to her Instagram Stories to reshare her friends’ Variety cover story. In the caption, she called them the “smartest, kindest, most talented couple.” The “Gossip Girl” alum also complimented them on their parenting skills, not just towards their kids but also “to everyone in their orbit.”
