Last week, the Grammy winner squashed all rumors, making it clear that the dress was, in fact, not a diss at Lawrence. She was signing autographs before her appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” when entertainment reporter Melanie Miller brought it up. Miller shared a clip of the moment on her TikTok @itsmelaniemiller, as she asked, “Miley, was your ‘Flowers’ dress a reference to Jennifer Lawrence?” Cyrus, who appeared bold and stylishly dressed for the talk show, responded, “No, but I loved that dress of hers.”
Besides the gold color, Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Lawrence’s outfits had uncanny similarities, including the cutouts. Although the latter’s dress had cutouts in the back, Cyrus’ look completely bared her toned abs. According to Page Six, Lawrence had also addressed the “coincidence” while talking to Andy Cohen on his talk show. “I just assume that was, like, a coincidence,” she told Cohen during a 2023 episode. The star further denied any romantic involvement with Hemsworth, calling it “not true” and a “total rumor.”
