Miley Cyrus planned a surprise event for her family, friends, and fans to celebrate the release of her upcoming album “Something Beautiful.” According to Billboard, the singer personally invited the guests to the party, hosted by TikTok. Attendees included the pop star’s mom, Tish Cyrus, sister Brandi Cyrus, and close friend Anya Taylor-Joy.
Fans thought of the event as a mere listening party ahead of the new album’s release on Friday, May 30. The exclusive crowd got to listen to Cyrus’ new work, including already-released tracks like “Something Beautiful,” “End of the World,” and more. The select fans also heard the highly anticipated and much-teased song from the album titled “Easy Lover.” After enjoying the album, the audience received the surprise of their lifetime when the pop star herself decided to show up.
Cyrus took to the stage to perform her songs, both old and new. She was accompanied by boyfriend and drummer Maxx Morando, guitarist Jonathan Rado, and pianist Michael Pollack. She started with the new album’s tracklist, singing songs “More to Lose” and “Easy Lover.” The singer then followed it up with her smash hit “Flowers.”
The event only got more special with her next song. While reflecting on her professional and personal journey with fans, Cyrus delivered an impromptu performance of the “Hannah Montana” song “The Climb.” Videos of this performance went viral on social media, with fans singing along to the hit number word for word.
