It doesn’t matter what the story is. All roads lead back to Bravo. The latest example of this unfortunate fact comes from the Next Gen NYC cast.
You might have heard about the “crypto torture arrest,” where a guy held a crypto millionaire hostage in an attempt to access their crypto wallet. Well, Bravo newbie Charlie Zakkour was right there when it happened.
Charlie Zakkour “sometimes crashed” at the Soho house before filming Next Gen NYC

The details of this case sound straight out of a horror movie. A man named John Woeltz was arrested outside a place in Soho after a crypto millionaire named Michael Valentino Teofrasto Carturan ran up to police on the street, bloodied. He claimed he was held captive for weeks. When the cops entered the home, they found pictures showing Michael tied up with electrical wire and having a gun pointed at his head.
There’s a photo floating around of the moment when the cops caught up with John, and there’s a blonde guy standing on the sidewalk watching it all unfold. According to a report from Page Six, the blonde guy was Charlie from Next Gen NYC.
So, what’s the Bravo newbie doing on the scene of the arrest of an alleged torture? Insiders close to the situation told the outlet that Charlie would sometimes “crash” at the townhouse. He’s also a big crypto trader, and this was supposedly like a “frat house for crypto bros.”
“It was a party house,” the source explained. “They were spending so much money and partying all the time.”
John has been charged with unlawful imprisonment and assault, along with his business partner, who has been charged with kidnapping. Charlie has not been charged with any crimes, but this is an eyebrow-raising discovery as he prepares to make his reality TV debut.
Next Gen NYC premieres on Bravo on June 3 at 9/8c. The show will stream on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
