When it comes to The Valley, the word fan is flying around left and right. Not just with Janet Caperna, who admits that she, like Kristen Doute suggested, was a fan of Vanderpump Rules. Hollywood fame and status seemed to be what several cast members were chasing before getting their big Bravo break.
For instance, singer Nicole Scherzinger revealed that Zack Wickham was her personal assistant. And, during his employment, he apparently couldn’t stop discussing his obsession with becoming a reality TV star one day. Speaking of working with celebrities, Janet also knows a thing or two about this profession.
Janet Caperna was a personal assistant before The Valley
Janet was a recent guest on Nick Viall’s The Viall Files podcast. It was during the segment that she revealed what she used to do before joining the chaos of Bravo.
“I was a personal assistant, working 60 hours a week, constantly managing someone else’s schedule. Right when [The Valley] came together, I had just quit a job with a celebrity. I was, like, ‘This is not the right fit for me,’” she shared in the May 29 episode. Janet also revealed the “celebrity” was Cameron Diaz.
Before fans can build any crazy theories, though, she didn’t plot her way onto The Valley. Allegedly. In fact, when she and her husband Jason Caperna were given the opportunity to join the series, it wasn’t an instant answer.
“Brittany [Cartwright] came to us a few years ago and was, like, ‘We’re pitching this. Can we give producers your name?’” she recalled. “At first, Jason was like, ‘I can’t be a lawyer and be on reality TV.’ After we talked to partners at his law firm and producers, we were like, ‘This could be a good opportunity for us.’”
The Valley is available to stream on Peacock and on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
