On Bravo’s Summer House, Paige DeSorbo’s very favorite thing is lying in bed, eating, napping and scrolling through her phone. She’s always the first one in her pajamas at night and the last one out of them in the morning.
So what could be more on-brand than Paige launching her own sleepwear line? And what could be more adorable than naming it after her cat, Daphne?
And you know what’s even better than pillows? Pajamas!
Summer House star Paige DeSorbo has launched her sleepwear brand
Paige’s life is blowing up. In the past year, not only did she rid herself of a controlling boyfriend, but she took herself out on tour. She and bestie Hannah Berner took their Giggly Squad podcast cross-country, even selling out two nights at Radio City Music Hall. They co-authored a book, How to Giggle, that was a New York Times best-seller. The New York native even co-anchored the red carpet livestream of the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
“Everything I’ve done in my career thus far—none of it did I think was going to happen,” Paige tells InStyle. “I wasn’t seven, being like, ‘One day I’ll have a podcast’ … I didn’t think, ‘Oh, I want to be on the radio, writing a book, being on a reality TV show.’”
Over the years, she often thought about turning her reality TV exposure into a business. She was even approached several times, but nothing ever felt right.
“Whenever I would see people on reality TV’s businesses,” she says, “what made it good was, ‘Do I think of that product when I look at them?’ When you look at Bethenny Frankel, you still think Skinny Girl Margarita.” Her Summer House co-star Kyle Cooke is closely associated with his Loverboy canned beverages, as well.
“What would my followers like?” she thought. “I feel like we all align on staying in bed.”
Because she’s spent so much of her time lying in bed with co-stars Ciara Miller and Amanda Batula, fans dubbed them the “bed bugs.” Don’t be surprised if we see the bed bugs relaxing in Daphne pajamas in future episodes.
